Chereads / An All-Rounder Girl Spoiled by the Big Boss / Chapter 37 - Come to the Office

Chapter 37 - Come to the Office

Huang Xiaoyan, concerned that Qin Sheng might be affected by the rumors, quickly added, "Sheng Sheng, I believe in you! With your beauty, you could easily catch the eye of a wealthy young heir. Why would you need to be with an older man?"

As Huang Xiaoyan spoke, her cheeks puffed out adorably, her naturally round face becoming even cuter. Qin Sheng, seeing this, couldn't resist the urge to tease her.

Raising an eyebrow, Qin Sheng propped her chin with one hand. "So, what you're saying is that I would be kept by a wealthy heir instead?"

"No, no, no!" Huang Xiaoyan waved her hands frantically, trying to dispel the misunderstanding. "What I mean is, you would never be kept by anyone! I was just using it as an example."

Lin Feng, who had been standing behind them, gave Huang Xiaoyan a light knock on the head, his tone dripping with disdain. "Huang Xiaoyan, you're such an idiot."

Lin Feng had been hesitant to intervene earlier; he didn't dare to provoke Sister Sheng. She could easily overpower him. The memory of having his wrist twisted and then set back in place by her was still vivid in his mind.

But since Huang Xiaoyan had spoken up, Lin Feng quickly came forward to pledge his loyalty and earn some favor with Qin Sheng. "Sister Sheng, I believe you too. Just a moment ago, I saw two guys badmouthing you, so I went over and taught them a lesson."

Lin Feng might be a bit brash, but he wasn't the type to resort to violence without reason. It was just that those two had said something so offensive that he couldn't hold back.

It wasn't yet time for class, and the other students in the room were all paying attention to the commotion around Qin Sheng. The classroom was unusually quiet, so everyone heard Huang Xiaoyan and Lin Feng's words clearly.

One after another, the students began to express their support.

"Sister Sheng, we all believe in you."

"Yeah, Sister Sheng, you're so cool and confident. You would never be involved with an older man."

"Sister Sheng..."

The students of Class Four didn't believe for a second that Qin Sheng would be kept by anyone. After spending a week with her, they had all become her die-hard fans.

Lin Feng shot them a fierce glare, annoyed at their eagerness to join in. This was his chance to show his loyalty; why were they all butting in?

Faced with Lin Feng's glare, the students of Class Four instinctively shrank back.

Lin Feng puffed out his chest in triumph.

Little brats, trying to compete with me!

Yet, it wasn't long before a crowd of students gathered around Qin Sheng, asking if she was okay and offering words of comfort.

Lin Feng could only stand there, glaring, as he was completely ignored.

He grabbed a student and pulled him aside, addressing him by his nickname, "Chicken, are you itching for trouble?"

His eyes and tone were sharp, a clear threat in his voice.

The student, nicknamed Chicken, was honest by nature, so he spilled the truth. "Brother Feng, it's just that Sister Sheng is more impressive than you. Now that something's happened to her, naturally, we want to comfort her."

Lin Feng picked up a pen and looked like he was about to snap it in half, his anger boiling over.

But then he realized he didn't have the strength and tossed the pen back onto the desk, glaring at Chicken with puffed cheeks.

Chicken, sensing danger, quickly squeezed into the crowd surrounding Qin Sheng.

Qin Sheng looked at the circle of concerned classmates around her, and a warm feeling surged in her heart. Having classmates and friends who cared was truly wonderful.

In her previous life, Qin Sheng had been in Class One and never met the students from Class Four. Because of Qin Churou, her reputation at school was terrible, and no one wanted to be her friend, let alone offer this kind of support and trust.

It wasn't until the bell rang for class that everyone returned to their seats.

When the homeroom teacher, Ms. Lin, entered the classroom, she cast a glance at Qin Sheng and said, "Come to my office for a moment."

With that, she left the classroom.

The students of Class Four all turned their worried gazes toward Qin Sheng. They were concerned; Ms. Lin was known to be stricter than even the most severe teachers. Watching Qin Sheng's departing figure, Lin Feng could only give her a sympathetic look.

"Sister Sheng, good luck. I can't help you with this one."

There were few teachers Lin Feng feared, but Ms. Lin was the exception. At the mere sight of her, his courage vanished.

Inside the office, Ms. Lin closed the door behind them and poured Qin Sheng a glass of water. "Sit down."

At this moment, the office was empty except for Ms. Lin; the other homeroom teachers were out patrolling the hallways.

Qin Sheng sat down in the chair, her back straight, looking as well-behaved as ever.
