Yu Bei: "This time, even if you try to drive me away, I'm still going to work at your company, even if it's for free."
Hackers have a natural sensitivity to these new technologies, and Yu Bei, being a computer fanatic, was no exception. Now that he had encountered this fully intelligent technology, he naturally didn't want to miss the opportunity.
"No need, I can certainly afford to pay you."
Yu Bei: "..."
You're the boss; what you say goes.
Qin Sheng sent over a phone number and continued, "This is Hong Yuan's number. He is the general manager of our company. You can contact him."
After sending this, she vanished once again.
Yu Bei was curious about who this QS really was.
Sitting in front of his computer, he grew increasingly frustrated. In less than three hours, he had been tricked into joining QS's company?
Yu Bei opened his computer again.
No, he thought, someone else had to accompany him in this metaphorical cage he was trapped in. He couldn't be the only one to fall into this trap, right?
So, Yu Bei brought along three other skilled hackers, all experts in programming.
Qin Sheng, naturally, was quite pleased.
With Yu Bei on board, the rest of the employees would be recruited by Hong Yuan, sparing her much of the trouble.
With the company matters settled, Qin Sheng devoted her days entirely to studying and spent her nights drafting plans to sever ties with the Qin family.
Another week passed, bringing the mid-term assessments for the semester.
In Class Four, Teacher Lin stood at the podium, explaining the examination rules.
Most students listened absentmindedly. Every exam came with the same set of rules, and by now, they had heard them countless times—enough for their ears to grow calluses.
Finally, Teacher Lin tapped the podium, and the classroom fell silent.
He gazed over the students, his expression lacking its usual sternness.
"This time, just do your best. I've noticed your hard work recently, and I believe you will all make progress. Regardless of the results, you are all amazing."
Teacher Lin's final gaze fell on Qin Sheng. "Qin Sheng, with your usual performance, I'm sure you'll be just fine. Just relax."
Qin Sheng had transferred here in the second semester of her senior year, and this would be her first exam at H City High School. Concerned she might feel nervous, he paid special attention to her.
Qin Sheng's eyebrows arched slightly as she nodded.
"Alright, that's all for today. Do your best tomorrow."
Teacher Lin packed up his things and left the classroom.
As soon as he left, Lin Feng and the others crowded around. "Sister Sheng, your grades are definitely going to crush those arrogant people in Class One. What do they have to be so smug about?"
"Yeah, Sister Sheng, you're amazing! You're great at fighting, and you're great at studying. You're literally my idol."
"Sister Sheng, our class is counting on you this time."
As they spoke, they lowered their heads, tugging at their sleeves. "Sister Sheng, if we embarrass you, please don't look down on us."
Over the past few days, they had all begun to revolve around Qin Sheng. Seeing how diligently she studied, they also followed suit. Though their foundation was poor and even with Qin Sheng's help in explaining the questions, they only barely managed to pass.
They genuinely feared Qin Sheng would despise them for being an embarrassment.
Hearing this, Qin Sheng cast them a helpless glance. "When I first came here, you guys loved fighting, your grades were terrible, and you didn't pay attention in class. You even tried to intimidate me. Did I ever look down on you?"
Lin Feng and the others slapped their foreheads. Why hadn't they thought of it that way?
"Sister Sheng, we'll work hard not to embarrass you too much."
Qin Sheng rubbed her temples, feeling a headache coming on.
What did their poor grades have to do with embarrassing her?
But seeing the almost blinding brightness in the eyes of every student in Class Four as they looked at her, she couldn't bring herself to say more. She had to let them be.
