Kaiser didn't wait for his opponent to move and started charging first. Once he was close enough he raised his hand and threw a punch.
Taz watched calmly, not afraid of this fight or any of them.
'Such a waste of time. How am I supposed to improve like this?' Taz thought to himself.
Kaiser's punch came down and Taz moved to the side, crouching slightly, and raised his fist. It slammed right into Kaiser's jaw, knocking him back a few feet. Outputting much more power than Kaiser had seen from anyone.
'His punch was so fast, but he also read what I was doing. Let's try not to be so see-through this time.'
He stood up and charged once more.
This time he tried faking another straight-forward attack and instead kicked his leg, but Taz still saw what he was doing.
"If you're going to use a feint do it right," Taz said, annoyed.
From then Taz went on the offensive.
He threw a right hook, but then switched up at the last moment, throwing his left palm into Kaiser's stomach. He didn't stop there. No, he continued using feints for the next hour.
He never stopped to give Kaiser a break. If he was going to spar with someone he was going to use his full strength.
Kaiser was thrashed around left and right. He would try to figure out Taz's next move, but he would pull something out every time.
The slight movements in his body were too hard to follow.
And that's how the day ended, beaten and bruised Kaiser who still sucked at fighting.
'I have to do this for a month? Why did father have me do this?' Taz thought, heading back to the main estate.
Kaiser was out of breath so he laid out on the training ground.
Taz hadn't broken a sweat fighting so he went to cook a meal. It was a hobby of his whenever he wasn't training. Walking on the first floor of the main estate, he reached the kitchen and started cooking himself a meal.
He prepared the ingredients and then cooked a chicken with a few different vegetable sides to go along.
Once he was done he cleaned the dishes and went to where his father worked.
Reaching a certain room on the 3rd floor he knocked.
"Come in."
Taz opened the doors and walked in. He looked at his father who shared the same red hair and eyes. His father, the guard captain, was one of the strongest people on their continent. A man among men.
"Yes son?" the guard captain asked.
Taking a quick breath he started, "I don't want to fight that boy who can't make a basic attack. What's the point? You can't become that much stronger from just a month of training."
The guard captain took a sip of coffee and explained patiently to his unsatisfied son.
"The Branch Head said that boy can rule over our continent in the future. That old man might be getting on in years, but his ability to analyze people and situations is rarely wrong. So child, do not fight me about this."
While Taz could maybe see his father's position, he didn't want to do this.
"It's a waste of time regardless if he will get stronger."
He knew that talking to the Guard Captain would get him nowhere, so he walked out without saying anything more.
The guard captain just shook his head and sighed, "Can't you ever just be friends with someone?"
--The Training Grounds--
The old man walked to Kaiser and reached out his hand.
Kaiser took it and stood up. He felt fine now although his body was still in pain.
"Did you learn anything?" the old man questioned.
"Hard to say. It became a little easier to see his attacks, but its mostly pain right now."
The old man nodded as if he was expecting this.
"Well. I think you'll learn a thing or two during this month. However, I want you to quickly read the physical enhancement book and start exercising."
"Yes Teacher!"
Kaiser started walking towards his room. Healers would come to see him so that was the least of his worries.
What he needed right now was to become stronger. Physically stronger.
'I only want to punch his face once. If I can just do that.'
His thoughts then switched to the devil.
'No, no. I have my priorities. I need to kill that devil. Taz is only a way of training.'
He tried convincing himself this.
A short walk later he was lying in his bed, book in hand.
Physical Enhancement.
'Here we go.'
He started reading.
This book was smaller than the other ones he'd read. It only explained the necessities and how to do workouts that would boost your body overall.
A few hours passed and a servant brought food while the healers started their work.
For the first time while he was reading, he did something different.
Kaiser set the book down. He wanted to watch the healers use their mana. When he first woke up after the tragedy, he hadn't a clue what was happening.
He sat there quietly observing the healers. There were two of them and they all seemed to pull mana from their body and transform it somehow.
The original white particles of mana had changed their color and were now a bright green. The green particles would then penetrate his body and start fixing all his bruises and pain.
It was relieving, to say the least.
The healers stayed for 20 minutes. His body felt anew.
The entire time he watched them use the mana in the same fashion, but he still couldn't figure out how to do it. He could push mana out of his body, but it would remain as the white particles. The white particles did not affect the world.
'Well, I'll try to figure that out later. Back to the book.'
He read most of that book last night, saving enough time to get sleep before tomorrow's training session.
He woke up and did the process he was used to.
Start reading until food is delivered and then continue reading after eating.
Around noon time he closed the book and made his way to the training grounds.
"Nice of you to finally show up," Taz said with annoyance, similar to the day before.
