The whole arena emptied in a second, and everyone started walking towards their homes. It was extremely late at night, and after a funeral and a court case, everyone just wanted to sleep. People had their opinions about the case's outcome, but all were very tired.
Valenthia, Bardolph, Thorin, and Edwina kept talking to each other while others moved away. Alder walked towards his room, content with his decision. He knew that if and when Edwina learned about his deception, she would be angry, but now he wanted his son to talk to Edwina and them to be close.
Aaron wanted to assure Edwina that he wouldn't take advantage of his closeness, but first, he had to talk to his father. He rushed after him and grabbed him before he could enter his large room.
"Father!" shouted Aaron.
"I am tired, Aaron, not now!"
"But father… what did you do?"
"What did I do? What do you mean?" asked Alder and stopped at the door.
