Edwina was standing in the middle of the hall as usual, waiting for Douglas to come back. Everyone else was back to their seats. All eyes were on Consuela, but she too was not in her seat. Rodion kept looking in every direction to find his wife, but he could not find her. He looked at Lorelei, but she simply shook her head in no. he stood up as he made up his mind to find Consuela but before he could leave his seat, he saw Consuela walking in with red eyes and a red nose.
"She was crying?" mumbled Rodion and ran to bring her to her seat. Consuela looked at him and gave a faint smile.
"Are you okay, dear?" he asked.
"Now I am fine," said Consuela.
"You don't need to be here. We can leave if you want," said Rodion.
"That sweet girl is standing in the middle because my brother started the chain of events. I need to hear this. I need to finish this," said Consuela.
