"Mom! Are you avoiding me?" asked Edwina.
"What?? Why would I avoid my own child?" asked Opaline.
"Then why didn't we have breakfast together?" asked Edwina.
"I thought you might need your peace and no more questions from me," replied Opaline.
"Mom! What did I do?" asked Edwina.
"Nothing dear! We can talk about it later. You have to be on your best behaviour for the funeral," said Opaline.
"And if I hear what I did to that rogue, I might be able to concentrate? Is that what you are saying?" asked Edwina.
"No, no, I don't mean that."
"Then what is it?"
"Edwina! Enough! No more questions from you. We are going to someone's funeral. Not everything and every day is about you," snapped Opaline.
"Fine, don't tell me. I will ask Gadburg or King Alder," said Edwina.
