"Let me think... For example, the sixth sense. If you awaken the sixth, or even seventh sense, you could lose all your other senses and still understand the world. Or, like an Asura, you could perceive the world through its vibrations and recognize it that way. Eventually, you might even become a Great Dark Sky Asura, or perhaps the legendary Thunder God, destroying worlds with just your Mind's Eye. You could also sense qi.
This concept is practically everywhere these days, but from my experience, using qi to sense and interact with the world is very feasible. Even if you can't see, you'll still be able to perceive things, though perhaps without color."
Listening to these strange concepts, the little girl hesitated. "Big brother, what you're saying... it sounds like something out of novels and games."
"That's right!" Pei Guang admitted. "But I'm a patchwork freak, you see, a full-blown one at that. You're an important character we encountered during a quest. I believe you can find ways beyond your eyes to see and change the world. Believe me—light has always existed, and it has never left you. One day, you can become the light yourself. You'll be able to use your power to help others who are just as vulnerable as you are now."
Hearing these words, the little girl smiled. "Thank you, big brother. I know that, as someone with a 'Heavenly Deficiency,' no matter what methods I use, I'll never truly see the light. But still, thank you. I can feel that you're not lying to me. Maybe you've really seen people like me before. I hope one day I can become someone like you. But I don't understand—why, even though we've never met before, would you comfort me like this? Is it just because you pity me?"
Pei Guang paused in thought and replied, "I came to this world as a player. But if you strip away that label, at my core, I am human. I'm simply using the identity and abilities of a player to do what I, as a person, believe is right. But don't think I'm particularly noble or virtuous. Beyond being human, I'm still just a player here. I act based on my likes and dislikes.
When I see someone who needs help, I lend a hand. When I see someone bullying others, I make sure they regret it. If someone harms my people, I'll wipe out their entire family. If a game isn't fun, I'll delete it outright. And if someone treats me well, I'll thank their ancestors for eighteen generations forward and back. So, no, I'm not helping you out of pity. I simply didn't like what I saw, and I decided to change it. I want to make you stronger, make you extraordinary, because doing so makes me happy."
At that moment, Pei Guang noticed something in his system: two new skills had appeared.

He glanced at his skill list. Amidst abilities like Stealth, Taunt, Block, and Execute, two new passive skills stood out:
Skill: Wave Perception
Description: While blind, you can sense the vibrations of all things in the world.
Skill: Skill Transmission
Description: Allows you to transmit any one passive skill to another person. Each individual can only receive the "Seed of Dao" once. The recipient's mastery of the skill depends on their talent, willpower, and effort.
Note: After transmitting a skill, the NPC who receives it can teach it to anyone meeting the skill's prerequisites. However, the player may impose restrictions on the transmitted skill. If the recipient no longer meets these conditions, they will lose the ability to use the skill.
The system description was as concise as ever, leaving Pei Guang on the verge of cursing. The second skill felt especially underwhelming.
Back in Belobog, when the Astral Express crashed, Pei Guang's system had gained a feature allowing his teammates to use some of his skills directly. Over time, his allies had become so proficient that some used his abilities better than he did. This new skill, though, seemed tailored for NPCs or non-allied characters.
It wasn't necessarily designed specifically for this little girl. After all, there might come a day when Pei Guang encountered other situations that annoyed him or NPCs he liked. Having this skill could make their lives better.
Still, Pei Guang couldn't help but complain about the system's level of freedom. It really did feel like he only unlocked new abilities when he realized he lacked them, and unless he understood or experienced something firsthand, the system wouldn't even throw him a bone.
Grumbles aside, Pei Guang looked at the little girl clinging to him and silently activated the Skill Transmission ability.
Since each person could only receive this once, Pei Guang figured he might as well test how useful the skill really was.
The little girl hugging Pei Guang felt something change. She realized she could "see" now—no, not see, but sense.
She could perceive the contours of people and objects within a small radius around her, but it left her exhausted. When she stopped trying to sense, the darkness returned, and everything disappeared again.
At the same time, she noticed strange new knowledge in her mind. This knowledge seemed to guide her in refining her new skill to the point where she could even teach others who were blind like her to use it. Of course, while teaching the skill was unrestricted, Pei Guang had placed some careful limitations on its mastery and use.
After all, this skill seemed to have immense potential. If left unchecked, it could lead to some overpowered individual down the line who might turn against him. To prevent such a scenario, Pei Guang added two special conditions for its advanced use, using Daigo, a certain paragon of humanity and restraint, as a template.
The skill's progression and strength would depend on how closely the user aligned with ideals like Daigo's—balance, humanity, and respect for power. Pei Guang felt that no other figure better represented the kind of disciplined and morally upright use of power he wanted to enforce.
Of course, basic everyday use of the skill remained unrestrained. If someone blind learned it and used it for mundane purposes, that was perfectly fine. As for the limits of such use? Pei Guang couldn't say. After all, he wasn't blind.
