Bronya spoke again, "The Trailblazers made me realize something: While we focus on 'preserving' this land, we should also look to the stars. I firmly believe that with our combined efforts, our world—referred to by the Trailblazers as 'Jarilo-VI'—will one day return to the stars. And until that goal is achieved, I humbly ask to guide you as we work together. I also have a humble request: I hope that Trailblazer Pei Guang will serve as Belobog's guide. Right now, we are too weak to follow in your footsteps and help other worlds, but we wish to spread the will of preservation as far as possible."
Pei Guang had been admiring their team's beautiful reward statue when he heard Bronya's words. His face suddenly became serious.
Bronya's request couldn't have been clearer—she was essentially offering Belobog to him on a silver platter.
And yet, no one in the crowd objected. The reason was simple: Pei Guang was a hero with a starship!
Yes, Bronya had spread the word about this. She even mentioned Pei Guang's line: "If there's no way out, I'll take all of you with me on my Star Destroyer ship."
This combination of goodwill and overwhelming strength made the higher-ups unanimously agree that allying with Pei Guang was the best course of action. As for the citizens, many had personally benefited from Pei Guang's help.
It could be said that without Pei Guang and his team, Belobog would have been completely destroyed.
Everyone agreed with a phrase Bronya had often promoted: they couldn't save their own world, but their perseverance had endured long enough for the Trailblazers to arrive and rescue them.
Their willpower was essential, but the Trailblazers' arrival was the true turning point. In some ways, the Trailblazers were seen as deities.
Soon, the crowd began to cheer: "I believe it's only fitting for the great Trailblazer to become our guide!"
Excited citizens chimed in: "Yes! Great Trailblazer, please lead us into the future!"
Some Silvermane Guards whispered among themselves: "Honestly, I wouldn't mind if the Trailblazer became our Supreme Guardian…"
The crowd murmured with excitement.
Everyone understood Bronya's implication, but no one was against it. For one, Pei Guang's favorability with them was sky-high, and Bronya's public relations efforts had been spot on.
At this moment, Dan Heng fell into deep thought. Trailblazers weren't supposed to interfere with a planet's political affairs, but now Pei Guang was being offered leadership of an entire planet?
Faced with Bronya, the city officials, and the citizens all trying to crown him, Pei Guang was flustered.
He never imagined that the people of this city would do this—not out of betrayal, but because his favorability and reputation were just too high. Even during this inauguration, Bronya seemed ready to pass the torch to him!
But this wasn't acceptable. If he wanted to play around, it should at least be after the main quest was done—or if they got stuck and needed to boost their tech. Still, Pei Guang pondered for a moment: did he even need to develop their tech? Sure, his star-destroying ship would likely be restricted in future missions, but with that in hand, did he really need to focus on technological advancement?
As Pei Guang's brain worked quickly, he finally settled on his goal.
He had a main quest to focus on and no interest in settling down just yet. Farming for resources didn't appeal to him right now. But outright rejecting them seemed inappropriate, so Pei Guang gathered his thoughts and came up with a response.
Pei Guang: "I wouldn't say guiding, but let me leave you with a few words."
"From the ruins and debris to the bustling city you have today, you've given everything for your homeland. But under the stars, danger never truly disappears. The enemies that once devastated your ancestors and families are still out there in the universe. Sooner or later, they will return. When that day comes, there may be no savior, and the Aeons may remain indifferent. In this universe, weakness is a sin. The Antimatter Legion, the Swarm, Abominations, and the Aeon of Destruction who seek to annihilate worlds—against these foes, you are as insignificant as insects."
"But remember this—just because you're weak doesn't mean you can't fight back. As long as you survive and never give up your will, I believe that one day, you will be able to defeat these powerful enemies."
"Seven hundred years ago, the appearance of the Antimatter Legion brought destruction to your once-peaceful ancestors. Even the Stellaron was brought here by these wretches. Today, seven hundred years later, you have survived. But I hope you remember your history. Don't forget the invasion and the destruction. Let the will of Belobog echo through the universe. Let the souls of your ancestors witness your glory!"
"Only by standing tall in the starry sea can you stop fearing these vermin. The universe is small, but the world is vast. We will meet again."
At that moment, Pei Guang stitched together everything he knew, delivering a grandiose speech. As for the idea of farming and developing resources? Had he just entered this world, Pei Guang might have been interested, but now, it didn't appeal to him at all.
He'd much rather follow the Astral Express and play through the main quest. Maybe once the main storyline was done and there was nothing else to do, he'd consider settling down on a planet or star system and playing the farming game. But for now, he just wanted to enjoy being an RPG player.
At that moment, the residents of Belobog, Bronya, and even March 7th and Dan Heng were left speechless.
Pei Guang's ambitions were simply too vast. They had just barely survived, and he was already setting a far-reaching goal—standing tall in the starry sea, battling the Antimatter Legion, and even fighting the Aeon of Destruction.
If this had been before, Dan Heng would never have believed such a thing possible for this fragile planet, one that could easily crumble once they left. Even if it were possible, the odds would have been slim.
But after witnessing Pei Guang's abilities—so close to that of an Aeon, capable of bending reality—Dan Heng no longer doubted that such a future could happen. In fact, if there were ever a campaign to hunt down the Antimatter Legion in the future, it wouldn't surprise him to see the people of Belobog playing a part.
As Pei Guang finished his speech, the crowd once again erupted into cheers. His words had shown them the cruel nature of the universe, but at the same time, they had also given them hope.
The savior of the world had promised they would meet again. So, they thought, if they could develop their world, make it strong, then even though Belobog had once been weak, in the future, it could rise to greatness.
In the audience, Seele felt her blood boiling. Though she had firmly committed to hunting down the Stellaron, she had felt some hesitation about boarding the train. The idea was appealing—going to other worlds to learn and bring back important knowledge—but she lacked a clear direction.
Now, however, Seele had found her goal: to explore the unknown, to discover new things, and to chart a path forward for the future of Belobog. One day, the name of Belobog would echo across the stars.
Yes, that was what Pei Guang had said, and Seele intended to follow that vision.
