Chapter 282 - Chapter 281: Jing Yuan Fights, Pei Guang Farms, and Welt Collects Trash

Pei Guang's companions were now completely certain—his taunts had worked. Yet, thanks to Jing Yuan's interference, Phantylia still couldn't do much to Pei Guang because she simply couldn't land a hit on him.

Meanwhile, Pei Guang's mastery over the Savory Truefire was improving rapidly mid-battle. With the battle BGM still boosting everyone's morale, he hopped around energetically while swinging his fire-enchanted wooden sword to harass Phantylia from outside her attack range.

Phantylia was furious. If it were just Pei Guang alone, she could've easily taught him a lesson with her destructive power. But the problem was the presence of Jing Yuan.

As the general of the Xianzhou Luofu, he now showed everyone what he was truly capable of.

His precise timing and flawless technique complemented Pei Guang's attacks perfectly. Whenever Pei Guang's flames scorched Phantylia, causing fragments of her flesh to fall off, Jing Yuan would follow up with targeted strikes at those weakened spots.

Jing Yuan quickly noticed that while Phantylia's flesh regenerated almost instantly, Pei Guang's fire seemed to damage her at a fundamental level. And as long as Phantylia remained distracted, she wouldn't have the chance to realize the deeper impact of the damage.

Dan Heng, on the other hand, was biding his time. He kept his pink water dragon circling, waiting for the right moment to deliver a critical strike—either when Pei Guang and Jing Yuan ran out of steam or when Phantylia let her guard down.

Despite Phantylia's overwhelming power and new body, she was starting to struggle under the relentless teamwork of six opponents.

One-on-one, she could annihilate any of them instantly. But three-on-one was an entirely different story.

Whenever she tried to unleash her destructive powers, Jing Yuan would counter with his authority as the Arbiter General of The Hunt. And thanks to Pei Guang's constant hopping and dancing, his buffs and the BGM's enhancements never dropped, leaving Jing Yuan's divine avatar—Lighting Lord—empowered and able to hold its own against Phantylia.

The 10% buff didn't sound like much, but in this world, where Aeons granted immense strength, even a small edge was enough to tip the balance.

Unable to overwhelm them with raw power, Phantylia relied on her indestructible body to crush her foes. Yet, every time she attempted a physical attack, Pei Guang's shield intercepted it.

The worst part? Sometimes his shield barely grazed her attacks, and yet, inexplicably, it would still block her strikes, causing her limbs to spasm uncontrollably for a fraction of a second.

Those milliseconds were all Pei Guang needed to exploit the opening, engulfing her limbs in flames that burned off even more chunks of flesh.

Phantylia's frustration grew, while Pei Guang remained as calm as ever. He checked his inventory mid-battle, confirming he still had plenty of consumables to replenish his stamina and strength. Thanks to his earlier preparations and the materials he'd gathered, he could keep this up for at least another ten minutes.

And then the scene shifted.

Behind Phantylia, Welt stood alone: because of Pei Guang's antics, she hadn't dared to summon more vines or lotuses from the Arbor. She knew they'd just end up as Pei Guang's "ingredients."

What she didn't realize, however, was that her own body was constantly shedding materials during the fight.

Normally, these fragments would be impossible to collect in the chaos. But Welt had set up a semi black hole just a few meters behind her.

Phantylia barely paid attention to him. After all, his black hole couldn't even scratch her body. And with Pei Guang, Jing Yuan, and Dan Heng keeping her occupied, she figured she could safely ignore Welt's presence.

To Phantylia, Welt was just a harmless mosquito buzzing around—annoying but ultimately irrelevant.

What she didn't know was that Welt wasn't trying to hurt her at all: the semi black hole had a different purpose entirely!

Phantylia stood arrogantly, but Welt calmly adjusted his glasses. He could sense her overconfidence, but his experience told him there was no need to rush. Instead, he maintained his semi black hole with steady focus.

Against an enemy of this caliber, he wasn't taking any chances. Like Pei Guang, his strategy relied on consuming recovery items: if someone were to draw his blood at this point, they'd probably find more potions than actual blood in his veins!

Welt was never one to let pride get in the way. If his semi black hole couldn't harm Phantylia, he'd immediately switch tactics.

He had always known—even back on Earth—that he wasn't a natural-born fighter. Instead, he excelled at playing support, and this time was no different.

The semi black hole wasn't meant to damage Phantylia. Its true purpose was to collect all the roasted materials that Pei Guang's Savory Truefire burned off her body.

As Phantylia's charred flesh and scorched fragments fell to the ground, Welt's black hole vacuumed them up and stored them in the team's shared inventory.

While Welt focused on collection, Pei Guang quickly analyzed the materials mid-battle, categorizing them based on their properties. Meanwhile, Stelle sat by a cooking pot behind the fight, using Pei Guang's classifications to prepare consumables.

The result? A steady stream of high-grade recovery items, ready to replenish their strength and keep the fight going.

Pei Guang and Welt had been gulping down these potions since Phase Two started, and to their surprise, the supply was actually growing rather than shrinking.

Of course, Pei Guang also set aside certain rare materials that dropped from Phantylia's body for "personal collection."

Was it weird? Maybe. But as a player, Pei Guang didn't care what NPCs thought. Players only ever avoided weird behavior if they didn't feel like doing it—not because of social pressure.

Thus, their ad-hoc production line was complete. Thanks to this setup, he now had the resources to sustain a prolonged battle against Phantylia, relying purely on consumables to keep going.
