'Tired' I thought to myself as I was typing away at my keyboard, the clacking of the keys being the only sound which filled the room at the moment. I sighed as I stopped only for a moment to adjust my glasses and wipe the sweat off my brown. I also stretched as I had been sitting in a computer chair for hours on end, my back popping like it was a goowstick from a dollar store.
"Man, what time is it?" I wondered outloud as I looked around the dark office room. The analog clock was barely visible to me and my watch was dead and batteries needed to be replaced. I sighed to myself as I decided to go towards the far end of the hallway to turn on the lights as the bright computer screen at my desk could only illuminate so much. As I turned on the lights, they stung for a minute as I saw the clock say 10:30 pm. 'It's that late already?' I thought to myself as I sighed.
'I'm gonna take my break' I thought to myself as I got my coat, fixed my work dress, and headed out the office building. 'Man, I wonder if my boss will pay overtime' I thought to myself as I laughed at the notion. My boss, a man cheap as him, would never pay me overtime, even if he should.
'Maybe I should have stayed in my former job' I thought back to my time in my home country, where I worked as a book store clerk. 'Even if it didn't pay much, my boss took care of me pretty well' I thought as I stopped at an overnight resteraunt space called 'Moonlight'.
As I went in, I saw familiar faces. "Hey, Mr.Sazuki!" I said to the man behind in the kitchen. "Oh Bella, welcome! Come sit!" said the cheerful chef known as Subaru Sazuki as he pointed at a stool that was close to the kitchen. "Hey, I'll take the usual" I said to him as he nodded. I also noticed some snackas at the counter like peanuts and some edomame.
I took some of the salty snacks while waiting for my meal, which came in record time. The dish was some miso soup, a grilled fish, and some side dishes of rice with fried chicken. "Thank you for the food" I said as I then began to dig in. The richness of the fish, the subtle flavors of the miso soup, and the fried chicken seemed so good together it was like a wedding match in heaven.
As I ate my food, I also partook in some tea as I still had to work after this. As I finished my food, I thanked him again and left. As I left the restaraunt, the breeze of the night felt good to me, along with the beauty of the shining stars in the heavens.
I stood there for a moment, looking at the night sky like I would never see it again. As I stood there, I heard a notification from my phone and as I looked at it, I noticed it was 11:00 pm. 'I need to hurry back so I can finish my work and head home' I thought to myself as I began the walk back.
As I got back into the office to finish the reports, I noticed the time was ticking by, the night dragging on. 'Almost done' I thought to myself. As I typed the last part I needed on the report, I submitted it digitally, clocked out, and left the office to catch one of the late night trains home. It was 11:30 by the time I left and the last train left in 10 minutes. I hurried there as fast as I could and I was barely able to get there on time.
The time it took to get to my apartment on train was 10 minutes, and during those ten minutes I began thinking of my time off tomorrow, plans already made in my head. 'If I remember right, my sister and her husband is coming over' I thought to myself as I stared at my phone, reading novels and comics to past the time.
I was really into this one series about onmyoji known as 'The Golden dragon and the Black Spider'. It had a couple hundred chapters and the author apparently was planning on finishing up in a couple chapters so he can rest and focus on a new project he had in his mind, something about a reimagined edo-period japan.
As I got off the train and began to head home, I saw two lights come my way, one I couldn't really make out and the rest was a truck of sorts, probably delivering produce if the artwork on the side mean anything. As I tried to move out of its way, I was stuck where I was. I felt scared for my life as I tried to desperately move from my spot but I was prevented. I was soon then struck by the truck and was smashed into a wall.
My sight began to fade and the last thoughts on my mind was 'I'm sorry sister, it seems plans are canceled' I thought for the last time as my mind faded to black.

In another world which was so far from the normal world, there was a family of elves gathered in the bedroom of the father and mother. The mother, it seems, was in labor and a healer was helping the birth. "Come on Nimue, push!" urged the healer as the cries of a baby entered the world. The mother, whose name was Nimue Oldori nee Loch, then took hold of the baby after the cord was cut and the baby washed.
"Dear, look at our baby girl" cooed the father whose name was Celen Oldori. He looked at his baby girl with eyes of astonishment, finally happy at having a baby girl he can spoil. "I know dear, she's cute right. What should we name her?" asked the mother as she cradled her daughter close to her chest. "I was thinking Belladona Oldori, what do you think?" asked the husband. "After your grandmother? I approve, she was always a sweet woman" said the woman.
When the baby opened her eyes, the parents and children cried in joy. However, the baby had thoughts of her own and they were 'What the hell'.
