Chapter 92 - Chapter 92: This is My Skill

When Xu Zhengyang nodded, Lin Yourong was initially surprised, but she couldn't refuse his involvement, so she got into the car anxiously.

Lin Yourong has an older sister who is ten years older than her and got married early, at the age of nineteen. Due to their family's financial difficulties, her sister's marriage was almost like selling a daughter, though not quite. Fortunately, her sister married a good man from a fairly well-off family who helped their family.

After Lin Yourong graduated and started working, she made a name for herself, becoming a senior client manager at a large bank. Her success at such a young age in a position at the bank's head office was not because of her looks but due to her intelligence.

Her nephew is now thirteen years old.

When Xu Zhengyang saw him, the boy was crouched at a street corner far from their house, with a round, childlike face and a small bowl-cut hairstyle. His face was stained with tears, and he clutched his school bag, looking around nervously as if he were a thief.

"Hey, you little brat! Come here!" Lin Yourong called out to him through the open car window after parking on the side of the road.

"Auntie!" The boy ran over eagerly, his face a mixture of joy and sadness, but hesitated to get into such a flashy car.

"Get in the car! Aren't you afraid your parents will pass by?"

"Oh!" At the mention of his parents, he quickly opened the back door and jumped in, clearly afraid of being caught by his parents.

After getting in the car, he noticed a handsome man in the front seat smiling at him. Embarrassed, he tentatively said, "Uncle?"

Lin Yourong immediately blushed and shot a glance at Xu Zhengyang. She reached out from the driver's seat and gave her nephew a flick on the head.

Xu Zhengyang simply laughed without saying anything.

"Tell me, what happened!" Lin Yourong demanded.

As soon as the boy began explaining, his face turned pitiful, and he said tearfully, "I saved up a lot of money to buy a 'King of Glory' account! It had Wu Zetian and over 150 skins. I spent three thousand on it, but… but I only played for three days before it got reclaimed, boo-hoo…"

As he spoke, tears welled up in his eyes again.

"I went to the police, but they said they couldn't do anything about it and told me to contact the platform. The platform said they don't deal with account recovery and that buying accounts is risky! When I went back to the police, they told me to have my parents talk to them."

His voice cracked as he cried harder, lamenting, "They promised not to reclaim it. Where has the trust between people gone? Boo-hoo…"

It was both frustrating and funny.

Xu Zhengyang had to bite his lips to stop himself from laughing out loud. Lin Yourong, seeing her nephew cry, softened and patted his head.

"Alright, it's gone. How about Auntie gives you some money to buy skins, or even another Wu Zetian, okay?"

The boy shook his head while pouting. "No, it's too expensive to buy it yourself. It would cost at least two thousand."

"You little rascal, you know it's expensive, yet you still play that silly game!" Lin Yourong scolded, glaring at him.

"Hmph, you're the one who said that if I got first place in my grade, I could play games. I have self-control! You're just jealous of how good I am. You're still stuck in Gold rank!" He pouted back, not backing down.

Lin Yourong gritted her teeth, ready to scold him again, but after a while, she calmed down, biting her lip and stealing a glance at Xu Zhengyang.

Though she wanted to comfort her nephew, she was still at work, and her boss was right beside her.

Xu Zhengyang smiled. "Why are you looking at me? I'm wondering where that trust between people has gone too. Why not go and ask in person?"

"Huh?" Both Lin Yourong and her nephew were confused.

The boy had called his aunt, hoping she would help him report the scam to the police and pursue legal action against the fraudster. But what was this talk about going and asking in person?

Seeing that Xu Zhengyang was indeed going to handle the matter, Lin Yourong suddenly became excited and said to her nephew, "Give me the transaction record from your account."

"Okay!" The boy, though confused, pulled up the information on his phone and handed it to Lin Yourong.

Lin Yourong first called Qi Yunfei.

Qi Yunfei contacted some friends in law enforcement, who then called the platform and obtained the scammer's phone number and identity information. While the platform might not have been helpful to an ordinary person, they cooperated fully when the police got involved.

Afterward, Xu Zhengyang didn't involve the police further but instead had Mu Sheng and others investigate the information.

They quickly found the scammer's identity, address, and personal phone number. He was a sixteen-year-old high school student living in the city, attending Yude High School in the southern part of the city.

This whole operation left the boy in awe, making him wonder what his aunt and uncle actually did for a living. Were they spies or secret agents? The child's imagination ran wild, and in an instant, he had envisioned a whole sci-fi movie starring Xu Zhengyang and Lin Yourong.

Then, after muttering something under her breath, Lin Yourong hit the gas, heading straight for Yude High School.

Within minutes, they arrived at the school gates.

Xu Zhengyang pulled out his phone and dialed the scammer's number.

After a few rings, the other party answered with a somewhat wary voice.

"Hello, who is this?"

Xu Zhengyang smiled slightly and said casually, "Is this Zhou Ming? You sold a 'King of Glory' account on 5183, right?"

But before he could finish, the line went dead.

Xu Zhengyang was taken aback, and Lin Yourong almost burst out laughing.

Her boss, who could command attention from entire families and outmaneuver them with cunning strategies, had just been hung up on by a high schooler. It was simply… hilarious!

Even Xu Zhengyang laughed in exasperation. "These kids today, huh?"

He shook his head in amusement and sent a text message:

"You have one chance: return the account to me, or else I won't be happy."

The scammer, apparently feeling guilty, didn't dare to pick up the call but was bold enough to reply to the text. Xu Zhengyang quickly received a response, glanced at it, and chuckled darkly.

Curious, Lin Yourong asked, "What did he say?"

Xu Zhengyang showed her the phone, and Lin Yourong read aloud:

"Buddy, if you still have money, please use it to recharge your IQ. This is how the world works. Learn from it and be smarter in the future. There's no remedy for regret in society. I got it back because that's my skill. Thanks!"
