T/W: Gore, Foul Language
Penn let out a large breath he had been holding as he hoisted one of the injured survivors higher up on his back. He looked over his shoulder at the small caravan of people who followed behind them. After he and Nathan had rescued those in immediate danger in the river, those who were hiding nearby came forward as well.
Nathan had left for another round of 'who's a more psychotic killer' with the forest while Penn shared the plans with survivors to make their way to a temporary camp being set up nearby. There wasn't much resistance to follow.
Thankfully, the valley was quite wide, and the wheat-type grass didn't seem to be trying to kill them. Penn bit his lip before turning forward once more and continuing forward. Count the blessings, no matter how few.
