The insistent flashing lights outside Rogers studios had me squinting as I approached the entrance. There must be a Hollywood big shot working here or passing through, I thought, adjusting my bag strap.
I had already memorized the script for the pilot episode, having done it in a haste since I was the last person to be cast in the show. I didn't want to slow things down. The actress who was originally cast in the lead role had dropped out at the last minute, and I was the one replacing her.
I entered the show's studio section, where the actors are supposed to rehearse and act, and a young lady ushered me in, she wasn't the same person who ushered me in last time.
She gave me a key, "This is the key to your trailer. Follow me," she said and walked fast without checking if I was following her or not.
