The wave of fire has weakened after seconds of activation, Jasmine has run out of mana, resulting to the magic attack to fade away. It was a good effort, even though she knew she had no chance, she still attacked me with a fifth grade magic attack
If only she had the basic understanding of the element, then she might had the chance to crack my magic barrier.
The surroundings from where I stood were affected by the "Wave of Fire" leaving burnt marks on the surface of the stage. Looking at the four talents present inside the colosseum, they were shocked that I beat Jasmine in a battle of magic.
I glanced at Jasmine, blood were running down her nose. Probably due to the depletion of mana at a rapid pace, judging from the "Wave of Fire" she chanted. I could tell that she just recently understood the incantation, and wanted to practice it on me to see if it can deal damage to an anomaly like me.
Walking towards Jasmine, I handed her a handkerchief and told her to wipe off the blood coming out of her nose. She grinned before taking the handkerchief, I helped her stand up because at the moment she can't use her legs.
"How were you able to use chantless incantation with such precision?"
"Imagination, it's about creativity and basic understanding of the magic you want to perform"
"Is that all?! There is no way! Chantless incantation needs extreme focus and years of studying magic, just to do a basic magic attack on chantless incantation. Imagination and creativity does not play part whatsoever"
I guess this world still is ignorant of the power of your own mind. I can't blame them, since they still think that studying and training are the only way to be able to use magic.
"You have no idea about what magic is"
She was infruated when I said that to her, it made her mad to the point that she pushed me away.
"How dare you say such thing to me, a commoner like you has no right to say that to a noble like me!"
To think that I thought that she is not arrogant and is more mature than the other talents, I guessed wrong.
"Don't you show your face to me again"
She stormed off, leaving the colosseum with a grudge towards me. The other talents also left the colosseum, leaving me the only one inside the colosseum.

Now that they know the power that I possess, I guess it's time to get out of this academy and go to a another place far from here. Now that I had enraged and possibly made an enemy towards the other talents, they would surely make my life inside the academy chaotic.
Its only been a month since I've enrolled here inside the academy, leaving here so soon will surely make Alfiva question me herself.
"I guess I have no other choice"
Going to Hermione's room, I wanted to say my farewells before leaving.

It took a second for her to open the door, when she ooened the door. She did not expect me to drop by late at night.
"What are you doing here, Ryu?"
"I am leaving the academy, I wanted to say goodbye before leaving"
She was surprised and her eyes widened when I said that to her, pulling me inside her room. She closed the door, and stood in front of me. Her room smells nice, and judging from her wet hair she just recently took a shower.
"What do you mean you are leaving?"
"Exactly as I said, I am leaving the academy"
"Why? You just got accepted here a month ago, leaving so suddenly is a missed opportunity"
I could feel that she was genuinely concerned about me leaving, well from what she told me before, I am the only close friend she has inside the academy. Hearing such news from her perspective surely will make you sad.
"I know, but it is my choice, with the situation I am in, I have no future inside the academy, even if I graduated I will be forever labled as "the only F class" after graduating"
Pursing her lips, I know that she understand my reasoning. However, she did not want me to leave. She grabbed my arm and held it with both of her hands, crying and telling me not to leave. I am happy that I made a friend like her, someone that truly cares about you is something you cannot buy with money.
I unwrapped both of her hands, placing my hand on her head.
"It is my decision, and mine alone. I really am grateful that I met somebody like you, I really am. But continuing my life inside the academy will surely take away my freedom in the future, I will be a laughing stock for people, it is best if I leave"
She was still crying after I told her that, but she did not continue on making me stay. Instead she gave me a hug, and told me.
"Lets meet again after I graduate, okay? No! promise me that, promise that we will meet again"
Wrapping my arms around her, I assured her that we will meet again. After a few minutes, she calmed down and finally let go of me. I wiped of the tear on her cheek, and said my final words before leaving.
"Goodluck, and don't give up"
Since, I've stored all of my belongings inside the inventory. I went to Aegnor, and told him that I am leaving the academy. He did not expect me to leave so soon, when he asked me what my reason is, I told him all about what happened and did not lie.
After explaining, he understood and told me that he will tell the director tomorrow and leave the rest to him.
"So where are you going after leaving the academy?"
"Maybe, go travel the world?"
"Very well, do visit Alfiva during your adventure, I am sure that she will be mad that you left the academy"
"I will, judging by the distance, I think it will take me a month to get there, well then I am gonna go now, see you soon"
After saying my farewells to Aegnor, I left both the academy and the kingdom. Since, I did not want to get seen by the students inside the academy.
Its still midnight, I wanted to get some sleep before embarking on my journey. But I was restless, and my body did not want to settle down. Breathing in the fresh cold air, I decided to walk down the road where carriages go through.
Not even long before I walked through the road, I already spotted a monster. It was a ghoul, it attacks the first person it sees and does not have any thinking ability. Its weakness is light magic and fire magic, it makes sense since fire has light.
'Boom'
I attacked it with a enhanced fireball spell, it was very effective and the ghoul was evaporated instantly. It dropped a magic crystal, its mana inside was low and did not provide any value whatsoever.
Throwing it away might be a waste, so I decided to store it inside my inventory. I was curious on what a ghoul was doing here in the middle of the road, using my senses, I noticed that the ghoul left a trail of miasma leading to a nearby forest.
Since I had nothing else to do, I decided to investigate on where it came from. Following the trail of miasma, it lead me to a underground cave that oozed out a very powerful dark aura. Indicating that some entity capable of using dark magic is inside this underground cave.
The entrance of the cave was small, small enough for a skinny person to fit in. Since I am skinny, I was able to fit inside the cave. When I was inside, a foul stench coated the walls and polluted the fresh oxygen inside the cave. Using light magic, I conjured a small ball of light to see better inside the dark cave.
The source of the miasma was very deep inside the cave, I walked down the passageway and I encountered several ghouls and undead monsters.
The undead is also weak to fire attacks just like the ghouls, I fired multiple fireball all at once to hit all of the monsters. Once it killed all of the monsters, I continued walking down the passage way. Judging from the structure of the passageway, I could only speculate that I am inside a labybrinth.
It has a complicated and irregular routes, some of them leading to dead ends. Using earth magic, I blocked off the routes that leads to a dead end, that way I will not end up walking in circles.
After some trial and error, I finally closed off all of the routes that leads to a dead end. Leaving me with one last route, walking along side the last route. I noticed that there are tiles that were loose, remembering all of the webnovels that I've read, I knew that it is a trap.
I threw a rock at the loose tile, and once it hit the tile. A barrage of arrows were raining down the ceiling, activating my magic barrier. The arrows were being deflected by the magic barrier, and once it was over. I could finally continue walking through the passageway.
Being extra cautious, because of all the traps being hidden inside the passageway. When I set off all of the traps, I was finally at the end of the passageway.
It was a door that had ancient scriptures carved on its surface, with the power of the system, I could translate the scriptures letting me read the contents.
"Once a long time ago, an ancient civilization manifested a god to help them grow their crops. After countless of prayers, and not achieving results. Their crops were dying and they could not eat, leading many people starve to death.
One day they could not take it anymore, they performed a ritual that is linked with dark magic. Offering a human sacrifice, they successfully summoned an entity that they thought were gonna help them with their situation.
To their surprise, what they summoned was not a being that helped them, but a abomination that had bloodlust and the desire to kill. Realizing too late, all of them were wiped out leading to all of the civilization's demise.
The abomination tormented the land for hundreds of years, one day a hero fought off the abomination singlehandedly, killing it and sealing the abomination inside a chamber that prevented the abomination to regenerate, and leave the so called chamber"
Behind this door, where the abomination that wiped off an ancient civilization hundred of years ago was killed and sealed off.
That explains the amount of miasma that covers this entire labybrinth, to think such thing is hidden not too far off the kingdom. If this door were to be open by people with unpure thoughts, it would cause the deaths of thousands of people inside the kingdom.
With the current power I have, I doubt that I am able to defeat the abomination behind this door.
Opening it would be a bad idea, and not only I, but countless of lives will suffer. Using my magic, I used earth combined with a magic barrier to cover up the door. That way if people would of to come here, they will think that it is a dead end and will leave this labybrinth.
After I finished setting up the earth magic and magic barrier, I left the labybrinth and sealed off the entrance of the cave.
I could finally breath in fresh air, it was refeshing for my nose and lungs. It was still night, and I was getting tired. Activating my magic barrier, I am now able to sleep.
"Aughhhhhhhhhh"
I woke up with the screams of people being torn apart by a massive monsters, and eating the limbs of the victims. A whole city burned down by dark fire, and all were done by a single monster that is levitating off the ground. Tormenting the land of the people, it was the abomination that was mentioned by the ancient scriptures.
I was inside of an illusion, a dream rather. Where I was shown what the abomination did hundred of years ago, it was horrifying sight. People were being a plaything, and was tortured by the tentacles of the abomination.
It was laughing, it felt joy as it was doing all of the things it did. A being that only have the desire to cause chaos and destruction to human, now I understand why it was killed and sealed off behind that door.
