Chapter 67 - Chapter 67 : Hard wrok

"Red! Red! Get those white curtains out of here!" Amaya commanded with a fierce determination, her voice echoing through the room as Demi and Elii glared at her, the fabric slipping through their fingers. She blew up vibrant red balloons, and tied them off before handing them to Sofy, who balanced herself on a moving ladder, her eyes focused on the top of the door. "This room needs to scream red! No other colors, got it?" Amaya insisted, walking toward the kitchen where the rich aroma of spices mingled with the sizzle of food being prepared.

"Need any help, sweethearts?" Amaya asked playfully, wrapping her arms around Zeya from behind, inhaling her scent as she whispered, "You smell so delicious, I might just have to take a bite out of you." Zeya pressed her lips thin, fighting back a smile as she nudged Amaya, feeling her breath tickle her neck. "Stop it, Somi is right there," Zeya warned, squirming in Amaya's embrace as she felt her hand sneak inside her shirt.

"Ama, help me cut the onion!" Somiya turned, tears shimmering in her eyes, catching Amaya off guard. A laugh burst from Amaya, a melodic sound that filled the kitchen as she released Zeya and cupped Somiya's face, gently wiping away the tears that sparkled like tiny jewels on her cheeks. "Oh, but I only asked out of courtesy, baby doll," Amaya teased, her eyes gleaming with mischief as she stuck out her tongue playfully.

With a playful shove, she walked toward the living room. "Sofy, go lend Somi a hand in the kitchen," she said, giving Sophia a gentle pat on the shoulder as she grabbed her phone from the table. "But I just sat down!" Sophia protested, her wide eyes pleading. "Please~" Amaya said, pinching Sophia's cheeks lightly, her smile infectious as she disappeared into the bedroom, the sound of laughter trailing behind her.

"Hello, Fred," Amaya called out, her voice bright and clear as she swung open the window, the cool night air brushing against her skin. The moon hung high in the sky, its silvery light spilling into the room like liquid diamonds. "Bring him after an hour." With that, she quickly hung up the call and lit her cigarette, taking a moment to inhale deeply while gazing at the moon, lost in thought. She took a long drag, the smoke curling around her like a fleeting thought, her gaze lingering on the moon for a moment longer. With a determined nod, she strolled to the closet, her fingers dancing over the fabric of her clothes until she found the perfect dress. She slipped into the bathroom to change, excitement bubbling within her.

"Happy birthday to you ~"

"Happy birthday to you ~"

"Happy birthday to you, Seth!"

"Happy birthday to you!" The room erupted in cheerful voices, clapping hands creating a rhythm of celebration.

"You live in zoo~"

"You look like a monkey~"

"You smell like one too!" Fred and Amaya shouted, their faces lit up with mischievous grins, eyes sparkling with delight. Seth shot them a mock glare, his brows furrowing in playful annoyance as he pointed his knife like a sword. The laughter that followed was infectious, filling the air with warmth and joy.

Like a little kid, Seth closed his eyes, a small smile tugging at his lips as he made a wish. The flickering candles danced in the soft light before he blew them out, a puff of air sending them into a gentle sway. He carefully cut a piece of cake, first offering it to Amaya. She took a bite, her eyes glinting with mischief as she leaned in to feed him back. "Be wiser, grandpa!" she teased, her laughter ringing like music as she playfully slapped his back before presenting him with a small square box, her expression a mix of excitement and anticipation as she winks at him.

He rolled his eyes, a smirk playing on his lips as he began to feed his friends one by one, their laughter ringing in his ears. The music pulsed through the room, and with a quick flick of his wrist, he increased the volume on the speaker. Sofy and Somiya giggled as they grabbed the remaining cake, making their way to the kitchen, the sweet scent of frosting lingering in the air behind them.

As the beat dropped, everyone joined in the dance, their bodies moving in sync, feet pounding against the floor with infectious energy. Jumping and shouting, glasses of wine raised high, they celebrated Seth's birthday, the atmosphere electric with joy, the night alive with laughter and the clinking of glasses.

"Ama, you look absolutely irresistible tonight~" Zeya teased, her fingers dancing along Amaya's cheeks, lingering tantalizingly close to her lips. She could feel the heat radiating from Amaya, and it sent a thrill through her. Amaya, unable to resist the magnetic pull, grabbed Zeya's waist, pulling her in closer, their bodies almost melding together. With a playful glint in her eyes, she tucked a strand of Zeya's hair behind her ear and tilted her chin up, their breaths mingling in the charged air.

"How could I not look good when my sweetheart is radiating such beauty~" Amaya teased, her voice sultry and thick with desire. She led Zeya into the shadows of the room, the door clicking shut behind them, sealing them off from the rest of the world. As the lights dimmed, Zeya's breath hitched as Amaya stepped closer, their bodies inches apart, the tension electric. "Ama, you have no idea what you do to me," Zeya whispered, her voice a sultry caress that sent shivers down Amaya's spine. Amaya's fingers trailed down Zeya's arm, igniting a fire with every touch, before wrapping around her waist, pulling her flush against her. "I think I have a pretty good idea," Amaya replied, her lips curling into a wicked smile as she leaned in, their foreheads almost touching.

The air was thick with desire, and as Zeya's heart raced, she felt herself melting into Amaya's embrace, their lips barely brushing as she murmured, "Let's forget everything else and get lost in this moment." With a playful glint in her eyes, Amaya captured Zeya's lips, their kiss deepening, as if they were trying to devour each other whole, crossing the boundaries of what was permissible, surrendering to the intoxicating pull of their passion.

As days turned into weeks and then months, the atmosphere remained relaxed as the third semester loomed closer. The sun poured through the field, illuminating Seth and Fred as they focused intently on their training with other teammates besides them, sweat glistening on their foreheads, their expressions a mix of determination. Nearby, Sophia moved gracefully in the dance studio, her body flowing like water, while Somiya watched, her eyes sparkling with admiration, cheering on her friend with every spin and leap.

Elli was equally dedicated, her brow furrowed in concentration as she practiced her shots on the basketball court, the sound of the ball echoing with each bounce. The tension in her muscles was palpable, but there was a fierce joy in her expression as she trained for the upcoming tournament. Meanwhile, Demi and Zeya were buried in their work, the weight of university projects hanging over them like a looming storm, but their laughter occasionally broke through the seriousness, a reminder of their bond.

Amaya, the ever-energetic whirlwind, flitted between the different groups, her laughter ringing like music. One day she would go to piss off Seth and Fred, her playful smirk lighting up her face, and the next, she would be cheering for Sophia, her eyes shining with pride. But no matter where she went, she took out an hour each day to join Elli's training, her presence a burst of encouragement. As she coached Elli, her enthusiasm was infectious, her eyes sparkling with excitement, and the two shared a friendship that made the hard work feel lighter, their laughter blending with the sounds of the ground, creating a vibrant journey of friendship and ambition.
