Ethan arrived home, his face lighting up as he stepped into the bedroom to find Adrian playing with Seraphina and Aurelius. Seraphina was giggling, reaching for Adrian's hand, while Aurelius clung to his father's sleeve with bright eyes.
"Hey, love," Ethan greeted, leaning down to kiss Adrian, then planted gentle kisses on Seraphina's forehead and Aurelius's tiny cheek. "Missed you all today."
Adrian smiled up at him, brushing Aurelius's hair with gentle fingers. "I think Seraphina and Aurelius missed you more."
"Good," Ethan murmured, grinning. "Means I have more kisses to give."
Adrian chuckled. "Go freshen up, and I'll put the kids in their cribs."
Ethan gave a soft nod, pressing one last kiss to Seraphina's tiny hand before he went to shower. Just as Adrian lifted Seraphina to place her in her crib, Augustin appeared in the doorway.
"I'll look after them for a while," Augustin offered, moving closer. "You look like you could use a break."
