Luri was fast asleep in her bedroom, her body curled up comfortably under soft blankets. The night outside was calm and quiet, the only sound being the gentle rustling of the trees. That peace, however, was shattered with a loud bang as her window suddenly flew open, slamming against the wall with force.
Luri jerked awake, blinking as she looked towards the window. She didn't scream, didn't even flinch. Instead, she rolled her eyes in irritation as she spotted a familiar figure climbing through the opening, his clothes torn and blood dripping from several wounds.
"Isaac," she groaned, sitting up in bed, "how many times have I told you I have a perfectly functional door? Why do you insist on breaking in through my window? You're ruining the new curtains!"
