Chereads / Trapped In An Omegaverse Harem / Chapter 2 - TRANSMIGRATING

Chapter 2 - TRANSMIGRATING

It's been six months since Alina transmigrated into her new body. A world where peerage and magic exists.

A fantasy world many would dream of living in their lives. One completely different and unique compared to what she's used to.

Except it's not just any fantasy world Alina awoke in, but a world that takes place in a well-known novel back on Earth.

A very popular one at that.

Many readers adored the story of 'The Sacred Treasure' because it was based on a BL world and storyline.

Being the trendiest genre in romance novels, along with the omegaverse genre. As for the smut tag being included.

Whether you are a teenager, the book itself was intriguing. It made anyone who read it hungry for more chapters. Even readers wishing to be reincarnated into the novel.

However, for Alina, it was a nightmare.

Don't get her wrong, she loved the story like any other. She's actually a fan of the novel herself.

Clearly, the author precisely thought of everything from the writing, plot, and characters in a splendid way.

It was creative and thrilling.

The clever author was actually one of Alina's closest friends, Emmett Steward. He's a writer for fun, but a journalist for his job.

Most would say he's a nerd because of how intelligent he is in any academic aspect. Since he worships knowledge more than socializing with others.

Her dearest friend, Emmett Steward, had always been that way since their young high school days.

Being a top straight-A student in the private school they both attended. Considered as a 'weirdo' in the eyes of privileged students because of his questionable fashion sense.

His bad taste in clothing being the stupid reason behind various students picking on him. An act of bullying she despises deeply.

'Snotty spoiled brats.'

Luckily for them, they stopped bullying him once they found out he was friends with her. If not, she would've made their life not so fun.

However, it didn't stop people from thinking he was a weird individual, even until now. Still, she thought the complete opposite of those idiots.

To Alina, he is a bloody genius.

The novel she transmitted to when her life ended was always number one on any novel app he published it on. One may call it luck, but her beloved friend knew what he was doing.

In this universe, alphas rule the world, but aren't very common.

They are the strongest ones blessed with many talents. Specifically, blessed with powerful magic or abnormal strength.

The 'perfect' breed.

The favored ones of the Gods. The biggest influence. The ones having the highest status in any empire they reside. Alphas who are either respected or feared.

It's a known fact alphas are the most aggressive, territorial, and protective ones out of the three existing groups. Meaning, the alphas are the most possessive and controlling of what's theirs.

The three groups consisting of the alphas, the betas, and the omegas. Also known as the second gender of this world.

Now, for the norm of the three groups are the Betas.

Betas tend to have more freedom in deciding their career paths and lifestyles they wish to pursue. Unlike the Omega and Alpha.

The Betas make up most of the population and follow their chosen Alpha as their leader. They tend to be very loyal for what they stand and the Alpha they follow.

Their chosen Alpha used to be above the imperial family, but it all changed once the imperial family produced an Alpha. Converting the system of the empire.

For the third group, the Omegas. They are the extinct and rare birthed population.

Unfortunately, they get captured as hostages for the alphas. Society believing their only purpose is to bear the future leaders of alphas. Carrying on the powerful bloodline of the second gender.

It's not that the Beta can't procreate with an Alpha. If anything, they aren't able to reproduce the bloodline of alphas like the Omega can. They can only birth more betas and rarely omegas.

However, omegas are different.

The Omega isn't only able to produce just an Alpha, but one with hefty and special magic. In other terms, the gifted ones.

The gifted ones are born mainly in the royal family or a duke's household. Sometimes in other noble households, but rarely if they're born outside a noble family.

Of course, solely being an illegitimate child of a noble and a commoner.

Being so, omegas can be birthed by either a commoner or a noble family without the higher courts' judgment of their birth.

As a result, many nobles adopt or take in omegas from commoner homes because of two particular reasons. One; they're able to rise from their current status. Two; they gain the favor of the imperial family.

It's pretty obvious what it means once you gain their favor.

Therefore, omegas are eagerly being searched and hunted down. Taken away from their homes. Kidnapped like hostages. Purely to be sold as bloody livestock.

Precisely, because their birth rate has decreased for the past one-hundred years. Almost an extinct second gender in the new era of where the story begins.

According to the nobles, the omegas are the best and most suitable partner for the Alpha. Perfect for the imperial family's lineage.

In the eye of the wealthy, it doesn't matter if a marriage arrangement between an Alpha and Omega is forced against the omegas will.

All they care about is for the bloodline to continue and the income they'll gain.

Nothing else mattering to them.

"Greedy bastards."

A pink-haired beauty, Alina, murmured in her lavish bedroom, taking notes in a diary that only she had access to as she sat on a vanity chair.

That being said, it's the exact reason Alina being in the novel is a terrible nightmare. Not because of her family or the characters included.

If anything, it's her being a nonexistent Omega in the story. She shouldn't even be one to begin with. It's impossible.

As a matter of fact, her character doesn't even exist in the novel. That's why it's impossible for her to be an Omega.

The only unrevealed and unmarked Omega in the Divine Empire should be her older brother. The protagonist of the BL novel she transmigrated in.

Gavin de Grazen.

Originally, he's the only child and son of the Marquis de Grazen. The next heir to takeover their family's name. A young nobleman who has many high expectations held by the nobles.

His beauty is impeccable to even the most beautiful women in the Divine Empire. Nothing comparing to his astonishing golden eyes and silver-blue hair.

Taking after the Duke's cold-striking appearance, but possessing the Duchess's physical traits. Except for her light-blue eyes and solely her silver-blue hair.

In contrast, Alina took after the Duchess's angelic appearance, but possessed the Duke's physical traits. Both his golden eyes and rosy hair.

A family truly blessed with money, talent, and good-looks. Many are either admiring or envious of their family. Not that they cared.

Though, they wish they did. Hilarious.

Gavin's dazzling performance in many arts and magic got his recognition from the empire. Including the unapproachable and astonishing male-leads of the novel.

At least, that's how they're described in the story and with more praises added to their well respected names.

In reality, they're just obsessive lunatics.

Of course, her kind and damsel in distress of a brother didn't realize it till much later.

Clouded by their love and affection. Believing they were all just good friends. Not suspecting their deep love for him would be his ruin.

Not only does she have to save her brother Gavin, but apparently her life as well.

'Great. This makes things more complicated for me now.'

Besides the point, Gavin is loved and respected by everyone in the story. Including herself now.

Stereotypically going through many hardships and overcoming them with his Alpha harem as they chase after him.

Her loving and caring older brother, who prioritizes his dearest nonexistent younger sister.

Her possession being the fraternal twin sister of the main protagonist of the story, Angelina de Grazen. Rightfully considered as the beloved daughter of the Marquis de Grazen Household.

'Bullshit.'

She felt like this was all a sick joke or nightmare, yet unfortunately, it's not and this is the reality that she must try to survive in now.

The word survival being an odd thing to worry about instead of living freely.

"Should I just end my life?"

She sighed, glancing around the empty bedroom while everyone else in the household was in bed, sleeping soundly.

The pouring rain wasn't helping with her depressive mood. It only reminded Alina of the night of her tragic death.

Before she transmigrated into this new body and life of hers. The beginning of her misery and misfortune.

(Six Months Before)

Roaming the busy streets of the city was always uninteresting to those who've lived in the area for years, yet thrilling for those who're new to the city life.

An exciting everyday adventure.

For Alina, it was always hectic. Being a celebrity isn't always a warm welcome for her. Basically, for anyone in the entertainment industry.

Paparazzi are always on them for any scandalous moment they can capture with their cameras. Making money out of them.

She understands it. They have to make money somehow to feed the mouths waiting back at home. The more of a scandalous picture, the more money filling their pockets.

Her only problem is the invasion of privacy.

She can't enjoy going anywhere. Can't get a lick of sunlight because of not only paparazzi, but so called 'fans'.

More like people who'd do anything to show off or gain something from a small moment of fame. It was annoying. Those damned rude fakes.

Her actual fans are more than respectful and friendly. The audacity of them, trying to imitate her lovely fans.

"Miss Alina, we're here."

Her chauffeur called out, drifting her away from her angering thoughts.

Looking towards the man, she took notice of the brown eyes waiting for her words. A nervous smile was plastered on his face and she knew exactly the reason behind it.

They both knew today was the day she dreaded the most.

She had to perform at an award ceremony for her biggest hit single. In front of high-status people who hated her to the core. Bothered because she's always taking away what's 'rightfully' theirs.

A bunch of amateurs, they are.

They just can't accept the fact that she's earned the favor and respect of the public. Working her ass off for it, yet they believe it was easy for her because she 'cheated' her way through.

"Yeah right, you shitty bastards."

She murmured viciously without realizing it.

"Uhm.. Miss Alina. Should I drive off somewhere else or stay?"

"No, it's fine Samuel. I'll be getting off. I apologize for my unprofessional behavior just now and thank you."

Alina responded with a forced celebrity smile after realizing her mistake. Right away, a light knock on the limo's tinted windshield glass followed shortly.

She rolled the window down while sighing as she tried ignoring the scolding she'd receive. The lecture from the figure standing right outside the limo's door.

"Miss Alina, you're five minutes late for rehearsals. You do realize that, right?"

Jazmine, Alina's manager, asserted with one eyebrow higher than the other brow as she shot lasers with her piercing eyes.

"Yes, I know. Listen, I'm just singing the same song over again and looking good for the camera as always. Nothing new."

Alina remarked, irritated with a sarcastic smile.

"I understand you don't want to be here at all, but it's just for tomorrow night. You won't have to do it again. Plus, your fans are looking forward to finally seeing you attend."

"Which is the sole reason I'm here. So please just guide me to the stage I'll be rehearsing at."

She replied annoyed, getting out of the limo as her manager held the door opened for her before closing it.

Walking into the building, Alina noticed the sky was grayish. Indicating it was going to rain exactly what the forecast had predicted this morning.

"Seems like that forecast may be right about having rain the entire weekend."

Jazmine commented, noticing the black-haired beauty's gaze towards the sky as she glanced over her direction.

"It's always nice to have rain once in a while you know."

Alina replied with a small smile, creeping across her glossy lips.

Little did she know the rain she loved so dearly would be the one thing she'd end up wanting to avoid later on.

Thankfully, after fifteen minutes of touring around the building, they finally arrived at the auditorium that would take place live for the award show.

"This is the stage you'll be presenting at, Miss Alina. If you need anything please let my team know."

A man with glasses politely informed them. The man being a staff who's also in charge of the award show.

"Yes, thank you. I'll notify you if we need anything or if there are a few changes with the performance."

Jazmine replied as the man nodded in agreement and left the auditorium.

During the time they were talking, Alina's eyes wondered around the huge stage and seating area for the guests. Everything was laid out nicely and fancy for the likes of the people.

"Not bad."

She murmured to herself.

Although she hates to admit it, they did a good job with the decorations. It's aesthetically pleasing and beautiful to the eye.

If only she could say the same to the people attending and hosting the event. Such a shame the beautiful sight is for the eyes of crappy high-status guests she truly despises.

"Miss Starling, the technicians and camera crew are ready whenever you are."

"Ah, yes... I'd like to start now. Thank you."

She replied to a male staff with a nod and a smile. He then guided her to the pinpoint of stage and soon the rehearsals began.

In Alina's mind, she sighed for what her mental state was going to be afterwards.

Surprisingly, rehearsals only lasted about two hours and thirty-minutes with only a few switch ups on the performance.

Thankfully, it was easy for her to follow since she had already practiced it before arriving in the city. Therefore, she could leave early for the day and rest before tomorrow's main event.

However, before Alina left, her security made sure there weren't any paparazzi waiting around to take advantage.

Once her security verified that there were no paparazzi, they headed directly to a black van ready for them to leave while her security were holding an umbrella because of the rain.

The rain was pouring hard. Filling the city with puddles because of the holes in the streets, which gathered rain.

Making it difficult to cruise around the roads and streets. Of course, it didn't stop anyone from continuing their everyday night routines including hers.

After twenty minutes, they arrived at the luxurious A-list hotel she was staying at for the trip and bid her goodbyes to her team.

As soon as she got to her room, she immediately hopped in the shower to clean herself from the sweat she gained from rehearsals. Then, she headed to bed once her hair dried.

Before she fell asleep, she hoped for many good things for the next day.

Hopeful of tomorrow's performance going smoothly and her fans enjoying what her team had prepared for them.

Deep down, Alina knew they would. After all, they're her fans. She knows them the best just as they know her the best. She can solely imagine their expressions.

Grinning at the idea of her fandom—Starlings—with an eye-struck smile, she dozed off to slumber, not knowing what was to come the following day.
