I kept mumbling to myself as I absentmindedly stared into space.
I couldn't seem to wrap my head around it because it made absolutely no sense.
How?
How could he just die?
"It doesn't make sense…" I repeated those words again as tears blurred my vision. I didn't even know where to begin nor did I know how I was going to move on.
"Beverley."
My name sounded distant like I was in a trance.
"Beverley?" This time it came more forcefully and I slowly shifted my teary eyes to the person.
It was his eldest sister. She carefully cupped my face and reminded me to take deep breaths.
It was just two days after Clifford delivered the heart wrenching news to me so how was I to move on?
