I slowly opened my groggy eyes and stared ahead of me.
It took a while before I adjusted my eyes to my surrounding. We were currently on our way to California and thankfully it was first class Clifford booked for us.
Looking sideways, I found him tenderly caressing Paul's face while saying some adorable words.
Warmth filled my heart as I watched in admiration.
This was what I've always dreamt of. A loving father and husband….
Husband?
I quickly looked away from them with wide eyes.
This was the second or third time I was thinking of Clifford as my husband. It just felt natural for some odd reason.
"You're awake."
At his voice, I looked at him and feigned being sleepy.
"Mm," I hummed and cleaned my eyes as if to get rid of the sleep.
"Paul just woke up not long ago and has been staring at me." He said in excitement.
