Chapter 63 - Satisfaction

Julia's lips curled in satisfaction as she noticed Aurora's momentary hesitation, fully aware of the jealousy she had sparked.

Aurora crossed her arms, a slight smirk playing on her lips.

"Seriously?" Aurora asked, her tone sharp yet calm. "It was Amos who draped Lucas's jacket over his arm. Amos works for Lucas, after all."

Aurora's voice held a tinge of pity as she added, "You're only acting like a maid, Julia."

The sentence hit Julia like a slap, and her smirk faltered.

Her fists clenched tightly at her sides, but she held back her retort.

Aurora didn't linger to see Julia's reaction; she turned and walked out of the dining room, her steps steady.

She had more important things to attend to.

Aurora headed toward Nana's room, hoping to find her and smooth things over after the awkward dinner.

But upon arriving, she found the room empty.

She spotted a maid passing by and quickly called out.
