Lucas swallowed hard, struggling to find his voice.
"Leo?" he managed, his voice rough from sleep.
Leo nodded, his little face breaking into a faint smile. "Mommy said you were really tired. But I wanted to make sure you were okay."
Lucas blinked, still trying to wrap his mind around the situation. "Your…your mommy?"
Leo nodded again, more confidently this time. "Mommy said you're resting now, but you'll be okay."
Lucas felt a strange warmth fill his chest, the confusion mingling with a deep sense of care for the child standing before him.
He didn't know why Leo had called him Daddy again, but the word no longer felt out of place.
Instead, it felt…right.
Before he could say anything more, the door to his room creaked open, and Aurora stepped inside, her eyes immediately finding Leo.
"Leo, I told you to give Mr. Lucas some time to rest," she said softly, her tone gentle but firm.
