Cryolla ran to her father… foster father, who stepped out of the car. But, his eyes never landed on Cryolla. They were searching for the car Elise was in.
Elise stepped out of the car, her gaze immediately landing on the sprawling mansion before her. The Blue Moon Territory was vast, the estate grander than anything she had ever imagined. She barely had time to take in the sight when a voice she recognized all too well pierced the air.
Cryolla… My high school bully… The one for whom Xavier left me for…
"Well, well, look who's back," Cryolla's voice dripped with mock sweetness, but her eyes held nothing but disdain. "Elise, What a surprise! You have no idea how much father missed you."
Elise's stomach twisted.
Cryolla Adelphus, her high school bully, stood at the entrance with a sickeningly sweet smile plastered on her face. She had grown even more beautiful, but her eyes… they hadn't changed.
