"I fulfilled my promise, Princess. Shall we go now?"
Roderick stared at Elise, who was looking in the direction of buildings that were no longer ablaze.
Everything was back to the way it was... Calm. Peaceful. Just without her in picture.
"Can I contact Dietrich, later?" Elise stared at Roderick with teary eyes, making him smile sadly. "Princess, I promised you. If your father treats you wrongly... I'll personally bring you back to Alpha Dietrich. No matter how much blood I might need to shed. And, yes you can... after you reach the Blue Moon Pack."
"I see. Thank you, Mr. Vaughn."
Elise sat quietly in the back of the car as they continued driving toward GREED's headquarters. The earlier peace Roderick had restored in Wolvine territory did little to comfort her. Her heart was heavy, weighed down by the decision she had made to leave Dietrich behind.
I miss him… It hurts, mom. Am I making the right choice?
