"Pfft… They finally left."
Elise breathed heavily as she tried to control her laughter. Her eyes lingered from the blanket she was covered with to Dietrich's sturdy back.

"Did you just lock the door?"
Dietrich's eyes flickered toward Elise at her question, a low smirk tugging at his lips. "Yeah, I did." His voice was smooth, almost teasing, as he turned to face her fully, the sound of the lock echoing in the room.
Elise's heart raced at the way his gaze darkened, a pulse of heat flooding through her. She swallowed the blanket she held feeling more like a barrier protecting her from the wolf in front of her than a comfort now.
"You do remember I just woke up after a long sleep, right? What... what do you think you are doing?"
