Chapter 25 - Celebrating An Arranged Marriage? [II]

Jermaine held his forehead helplessly. This woman was hopeless and beyond redemption.

"Sir, everyone at the cocktail party has arrived." Gareth stepped forward and reminded.

Today's cocktail party was about Franklin's marriage arrangements, so he had to break up his mysterious attitude and appear in front of the media.

"Frank, let's go down together."

Seeing Franklin got up and walked out, Lucille quickly stood up and was about to follow when Jermaine grabbed her hand and made his move. "Lucille, what about me? Am I not good enough for you?"

"What are you doing? Let go of me now, or else...." Lucille said coldly while being held tightly by Jermaine.

So, Jermaine let go of her hand. It was not because he was afraid that she would be rude, but because Franklin was no longer in the room.

Lucille didn't bother to argue any further. She glared at him and quickly chased after him.

Hey brother, I can only help you up to this point. The rest is up to you. After straightening his slightly messy suit, Jermaine also went downstairs. He could enjoy the show, so he had to look closer to see how exciting it would be.

Downstairs, when Franklin appeared, all the media swarmed over and took pictures crazily.

After being in the entertainment industry for so long, when reporters saw a new face appearing at such a large cocktail party, they naturally want to reveal the identity of the person.

He was wearing a black suit with a light blue plaid shirt underneath, which showed off his slender and tall figure. His handsome and elegant appearance made the single ladies in the place stare at him in amazement.

As he walked forward step by step, he emanated coldness and loneliness, like a solitary king who with an overwhelming sense of awareness.

Someone at the cocktail party recognized Franklin and exclaimed in disbelief, "That... isn't that the current president of the Larson Group of Companies?"

Her voice attracted the attention of all the guests in the place, and they began to talk among themselves. The ladies were all fixing their appearances, hoping to get Franklin's attention.

A large number of reporters who were blocked outside the venue's gate, upon hearing this explosive news, all tried to squeeze in to take pictures, hoping to be the first to get a close-up shot.

Since Franklin became the president two years ago, he had never appeared in public and his whereabouts were somehow mysterious. He had always been a person that the media wanted to expose.

They all wanted to know the outstanding man that made, Younes so proud of him.

"It's Franklin who's causing such a loud commotion." Julia said with a smile when he saw Franklin walking towards them. A sharp light flashed in her eyes and quickly disappeared.

Franklin, who was approaching, caught the strange light, took the wine brought by the waiter, and raised his glass to toast, "Mr and Mrs Henderson, it's good to see you, welcome."

"I haven't seen him for a long time. He is still sensible enough to take time out of his busy schedule to attend us." Marcus, who was standing next to Julia, said with a smile.

"What can I say? He has brought more than respect to the family." Mary, who was wearing a tight red dress and had her hair tied up in a high bun, stood next to Younes said sarcastically.

Hearing this, Younes glanced at her with angry eyes, reminding her to be careful.

He could turn a blind eye to her rejection of Franklin at home and not bother with her, but in an important occasion, if she spoke without knowing her limits, it would bring great embarrassment to the Larson family, and he would not let her do that.

Looking at them, Franklin's lips curled up with a hint of sarcasm.

"Hey Frank, why are you walking so fast? It's so difficult for me to catch up." Lucille ran over quickly, carrying the hems of her pink dress.

"Lucille, you're not a kid anymore. You don't need to follow Franklin around whenever you see him." Hernan Henderson had a serious look of reprimand on his face when he saw his daughter being so pathetic.

Although the people watching had smiles on their faces and did not interrupt, he knew their hearts were full of contempt. If it weren't for his status and face, he knew no one could tolerate Lucille's temper.
