Chapter 1 - Memories falling back

"The city of tokyo is facing a gloomy weather today!"

"Indeed, this was quite unexpected to witness"

"Yes, today's report presented us with a news of heavy rainfall that will end till next week!" said by the news broadcasters that was playing in the tv.

Chapter 1 - The same day applies

Outside, the cloud was gray and the vibes are Ill, the city of tokyo was facing a sunless day, citizens below were starting to open their umbrellas and take shelter as the rain started pouring down.

inside of an apartment where earlier, the news was playing, a boy was making his lunch, placing something inside of the oven. and going to his tv, changing the channel, and lastly, sitting on his sofa. he glances at his balcony and recognizes the heavy rainfall that was occuring. he lets out a sigh before bringing the channel back to the news.

A school Id was left hanging on the wall, it provided the information regarding, Soren Mikata, a 19 year old boy from the University of Rivergate College, and a major 2nd year psychology student. this was the person who has been present within the apartment this whole time.

"This rainfall was quite sudden I must say, it's entry caused sudden suspensions to academic meetings..."

"Very much!, a rainfall like this doesn't happen often so while it is happening, i suggest our viewers to get cozy and have some time with their loved ones!" said again, by the same news broadcastes.

after hearing these last lines the oven beeped, indicating that his meal was ready, soren then stood up, wore some gloves before grabbing the food in the oven and placing his hot meal in the plate, and leaving it on the table. after preparing his lunch, he gazed at his balcony once again, which the rain reminded him of something...

As the the water drops from the rain got louder, his gaze and hearing made him focus more on outside, this made him have a flash back from his past as a child.

Within this flashback, he remembers being in a funeral, it was raining and there were a lot of people all in black clothings. as a child in this memory, he was being showered upon by the rain, crying and looking at the coffin while he mumbles "Dad..." the scene transitions to him being in their house after the funeral. he was staring at the necklace his dad gave him, without releasing any emotions.

"Soren, your grandparents wants to see you, they have something to say..." Said by his mother to him. before responding to his mom, he looks at the picture of his dad, he pondered to himself, "Things aren't really gonna be the same after this huh" he closes his eyes and opens them,

Transitioning to the living room where he is having a conversation with his grandparents.

Grandpa: "Say, soren your father wanted you to have a good life and future"

Grandma: "Yes, he told he us to bring his plans to you that will lead you to a great future"

After the statement of the grandmother, soren and his mom still looked dead as they were emotionless staring at both, listening to further news.

Grandma: "Soren, your dad wants you to study in canada till you finish college"

Grandpa: "Since the learning capacity and currency within that country is suitable for you, you would be able to attain the future your father wanted you to have"

Grandma: "He left most of his savings to you and your mother, the estates that he has were also provided to the two of you"

"Grandpa: "Soren, I know we're having a difficult time to face, but the legacy that your father left you is the destiny you are born to fulfill"

Transitioning to an airplane where Soren and his mother are in, he looks at the air plain window and witness the country of japan, where he was slowly departing from.

"I'm leaving the country where I grew up in..." he thought to himself before lastly, transitioning to an apartment in canada where he and his mother are staying in.

He looks at the window and witnesses the rain that was occuring outside, he then closes his eyes for some time, before opening them again and... Transitioning back to the current time, soren snaps back to reality and realizes he has been spacing out for a minute.

"Nine years ago, still I remember it vividly..." He thought to himself, his phone then suddenly rang with an unknown number appearing on the screen. Soren goes to pick it up.

Soren: "Hello?"

Someone: "Hello good afternoon, is this Mr. Soren Mitaka?"

Soren: "I am, may I assist you with anything?"

Someone: "Ah Mr. Soren! this is the Western Star University and we would like to inform you that your exam results have arrived! and we're very eager to state that your score has reached a range of—"

Transitioning to outside raining, where soren is currently waiting in a bus stop, he was standing waiting for a bus while carrying a dark blue umbrella as the rainfall still progressed. while he was waiting he remembers the examination result he received.

"90 to a 100 huh... that makes it a perfect result regardless of how you look at it, i didn't mean to go that high I only intended to be placed at 60 or 70, the most possible generic scores that one can receive but high enough to be able to enter the university. Guess this is what they call trying to be someone that you're not" he said in his mind.

After contemplating about his exam results, a girl suddenly walks up next to him to wait for a bus as well. the girl had a transparent umbrella, her long black skirt gracefully brushed close to soren's legs. the two were waiting while not making any sound. Soren was busy contemplating and the girl was quite a mystery as her face was being covered by her umbrella, the presence she delivered was enigmatic yet graceful and warm.

After some time a bus finally arrived, soren entered first while the girl to begin with, closes her umbrella before entering the bus, her appearance was still mysteriously concealed, however when she got on the vehicle a slight smile was revealed from her, pink lips that held a pale skin, and a slight glance of a her brown hair.

After a while the bus stopped near a convenient store, two passengers stepped of the bus, first was soren, who looked around after stepping out, and heading to the near convenient store, the second passenger was the mysterious girl herself, who also headed to the convenient store.

While inside, soren was at the fruit aisle of the store, picking up some fruits, checking them out and putting them back in their place, some that he picked was chosen and tossed on his basket. while observing the other fruits that was arranged in a straight line he notices a girl who was also picking up some fruits, he glances at her for a short time, he perceived the girl's mysterious aura and the formal clothing. he brought his focus back to the fruits and picked an apple for one last time, before leaving the aisle of the store.

He finishes his errands by picking up a canned soda, and heading to the cashier. while his groceries were being scanned the same girl earlier walked up next to him and waited for soren to finish, the atmosphere was pretty quiet at this moment the only thing was bringing some noise was the scanner that was being used.

While soren's groceries were being processed, he glances at his side when he caught sight of the girl, he did not made it obvious as it would be embarrassing but his observation capacity was enough to recognize her face...
