Fiona's POV
The following morning, the packhouse buzzed with activity as everyone prepared for the journey to the Moonlight Festival. The excitement in the air was palpable, but I couldn't shake the uneasy feeling that clung to me like a shadow.
Sebastian had been calm yet determined, giving out orders and ensuring everything was in place. His ability to lead with such confidence was one of the reasons I had fallen in love with him, but today, something felt different. Maybe it was the mention of the Alpha King's descendants, or the unsettling legend of the goddess Nyx.
I stood by the window of our shared bedroom, watching as members of our pack carried supplies to the waiting vehicles. Sebastian was below, talking to Leo, who would oversee the pack during our absence. He looked up at me and gave a reassuring smile, but I only managed a faint one in return.
"Fiona, are you packed?" His voice startled me as he entered the room.
