Fiona's POV
The door closed behind Sebastian with a soft click, leaving me alone in the quiet room. My heart was heavy, my thoughts restless. The shift in leadership, the coronation preparations, and now the rogue activity—it all felt like the world was testing us.
I paced the room, trying to shake off the unease that clung to me. The image of Sebastian leaving for the eastern borders stayed vivid in my mind. He promised to be careful, but I knew how fiercely he threw himself into protecting the pack.
A knock at the door pulled me from my thoughts.
"Come in," I said, steadying my voice.
Mariana, one of the senior council members, stepped inside. Her wise, gray eyes held concern.
"Luna," she began, bowing slightly. "I wanted to check on you. The rogues at the border… it's troubling."
