The meeting hall was silent, the air thick with tension. My Beta, Leo, stood at the head of the table, flanked by warriors and senior pack members, all awaiting my decision. Snow's return to Fiona was monumental—an unshakable boost to morale. But the rogues wouldn't stop. Not now.
"First, we fortify the southern border," I said, my tone leaving no room for argument. "Rogues rarely act without reason. Their attacks feel coordinated, and I won't let them exploit any perceived weakness in this pack."
Leo nodded, his sharp features set in agreement. "I'll organize the rotations and double the patrols. But what about Fiona?"
The room went still.
I leaned back in my chair, my hands tightening into fists. "What about her?"
"She wants to fight," Leo said, his voice calm but probing. "The pack will see her differently now that Snow has returned. If she steps up, it'll unite them in ways we can't."
