Fiona's POV
Adrian's trembling lips parted as he whispered the name.
"Lila."
My breath caught. Lila was one of the pack's healers—a quiet, soft-spoken wolf who rarely drew attention to herself but her name, uttered with such weight, sent ripples of unease through the room.
Sebastian stepped forward, his imposing figure casting a shadow over Adrian. "Lila? Are you sure?"
Adrian nodded quickly, his gaze darting to the pendant I still held. "I didn't want to say anything at first because I didn't think it was important but I saw her heading toward the west wing late last night—She looked… uneasy."
"Uneasy how?" I pressed, my voice firm but controlled.
Adrian shook his head. "Like she was trying not to be seen. I thought maybe she was meeting someone, but I didn't follow her. I didn't think it was my place."
Sebastian exhaled sharply, his frustration evident. "And you decided now was the time to mention this?"
