Judith groaned, the searing heat that ate away at her flesh felt like she was in hell. Even holding the branch in her mouth did little to hold in her scream. She had even bitten deep into the branch so it began to crack.
But it was no longer of use, because she was done.
Tossing the sword away, Judith fell onto the ground. Panting, heaving, groaning. She held her arm, all the while feeling her sanity waver.
Shutting her eyes, Judith did all she could to stomach the pain. She just had to push through, she just had to push through.
Panting hard, Judith tried to control her breathing. Believe it or not, by some miracle, the pain was receding. Not by much, but substantially. Taking in deep breath, Judith felt a semblance of herself becoming coherent.
