The constant running they had been doing started showing on them. But the one who have it worse was Judith, who was evidently weaker than the two. Though Shen and Wukong had offered to carry, she refused and instead decided to take the burden upon herself.
Which may have been a mistake. As she felt tired beyond all measure. Her hair even came loose and now fell as she bent over panting hard. Had the night not been comparatively cool, she would be covered in sweat by now.
'We open another grate.' Shen responded as he too panted.
Looking down, Wukong found a grate next to his feet and at once he got the idea. Bending over, Wukong pulled on the grate, so it rose, then he stood and walked a few steps away from the hole before dropping the grate almost with a thud.
