Three options presented themselves.
The most absurd third option was immediately dismissed.
This left choices one and two.
After some thought, Bochang ultimately decided to choose the second.
It was clear...
Selecting the first option would likely lead to continuing the fight with Seele, and Bochang had no desire for further pointless battles. It seemed wiser to stop promptly.
Even if the reward for choice two might be lesser, he made up his mind:
"Option two."
With a composed expression, Bochang said, "I'm merely concerned about you encountering danger alone..."
[Reward being distributed - Congratulations! You have earned a Praise of High Morals. At Belobog's Administrative District Central Plaza Fountain, you can spend one Praise of High Morals to retrieve treasures from the fountain once. Note: This type of item will...]
Now, within Bochang's system space, he had accumulated three Praises of High Morals.
Once he reached the Overworld,
he could use them for a draw and see what interesting rewards he might obtain. For Bochang, the best possible reward would undoubtedly be Jym Rogers Bread Soda.
Of course... having only drawn once, he was aware only of Jym Rogers Bread Soda as a potential reward.
"Worried about me... encountering danger?" An incredulous expression crossed Seele's face. "How could I possibly be in danger? Don't underestimate my capabilities." She thrust her large scythe into the ground firmly.
After hearing Bochang's explanation, much of Seele's initial misconceptions began to dissipate.
Considering his demonstrated strength,
his previous peculiar actions gradually seemed more reasonable.
"Given your good intentions, I won't hold past incidents against you. However... if you were just concerned for me, there should be no need now. You've witnessed my abilities; ordinary monsters stand no chance against me. Moreover, most of Rivet Town's monsters have already been eliminated."
With these words, Seele gave Bochang a thorough look-up and down.
Based on the information she had, the monsters in Rivet Town were cleared by the heroes who saved Belobog. Additionally, she knew that they had left the Underworld earlier this morning.
This was also why Seele immediately harbored doubts upon hearing the stranger call himself Bochang.
"Furthermore...weren't all the heroes who saved Belobog already gone from the Underworld? I heard this from Robot Settlement's Clara. So how are you still here?"
Seele remained unconvinced of Bochang's identity.
Despite acknowledging his formidable strength as a newcomer,
the connection to the Upper Underworld had been opened.
It was entirely possible for powerful beings from the Overworld to arrive in the Underworld.
Seele would not hastily determine Bochang's true identity based on a few words and a brief skirmish.
Upon hearing her questions, Bochang recalled the events from earlier that morning. Due to the sudden urgency, he hadn't informed Clara about his solo trip to Rivet Town. Perhaps Svarog knew, but it likely didn't relay this information to the silver-haired, red-eyed little girl.
After all, it wasn't anything significant.
"The others did leave, but I had some matters to attend to, so I decided to come to Rivet Town," Bochang explained briefly.
"Can you provide any proof of your identity?" asked Seele.
"Oh... if fate allows us to encounter an automaton, that should confirm who I am." Bochang spread his hands wide.
In Belobog's Overworld, affluent residents owned cell phones. However, such devices were absent from the Upper Underworld.
This meant Seele couldn't remotely contact Clara to verify Bochang's identity.
Of course...
Belobog's cell phones were vastly inferior compared to those used by Bochang and his friends, making cross-communication impossible. The disparity was significant, both in hardware and software.
Realizing something, Bochang exclaimed, "Right... this should also prove my identity."
The black-haired youth took out his phone.
Occasionally, March 7th captured picturesque photos and enjoyed sharing them in their group chat. Now, these images could serve as proof of identity.
Bochang displayed panoramic shots of Jarilo VI and Belobog, along with pictures of everyone battling monsters together, swiping through each one for Seele to see.
From a distance, Seele scrutinized the images carefully.
Although the Underworld was impoverished and lacked smartphones, she still knew about such devices. In fact, she had even played with them during her childhood.
However, after the Upper Underworld became completely isolated, all the phones in the Underworld gradually deteriorated over time.
Thus, Seele remained unfazed by the sight.
"If these photos don't convince you... I can also demonstrate my abilities..." Bochang lightly tapped his temple.
During their previous battle, Bochang had solely relied on his physical prowess, marksmanship, Spider-Sense, and agility against Seele. He held back significantly, not utilizing many of his other capabilities.
Bochang had relied solely on his physical prowess, marksmanship, and Spider Sense to face her.
He held back significantly, not unleashing most of his abilities...
In essence, he was quite lenient.
"No... that's enough." Seele shook her head slightly, "Regardless of whether you're Bochang or not, it doesn't greatly affect me."
Taken aback, Bochang retorted, "Then why did you bother asking?"
Seele remained silent for a moment.
"Forget it, I have matters to attend to; no time to chat..." She lifted her scythe, "Now that you've witnessed my capabilities, there's no need for you to continue following me."
"Indeed... However, I believe having more people means greater strength. If you're searching for something, I can assist you." Bochang gave a thumbs-up.
Seele furrowed her delicate brows, saying, "You truly are peculiar..."
"Hmm? How so?"
Bochang looked at Seele with some confusion.
Seele remarked, "With your eagerness, it's hard not to suspect you have ulterior motives..."
"I just want to do a good deed each day," Bochang replied promptly.
Seele rubbed his hair, seemingly exasperated.
"However... you're right. Having an extra pair of hands is better than working alone. Since you wish to perform a daily good deed, come along then. But let's be clear... the rules remain the same as before - no getting too close to me."
As Seele spoke, he waved the scythe in his hand for emphasis.
Internally, Bochang shook his head.
Given Seele's strength, if he truly intended harm, he could have easily knocked Bochang unconscious and posed him in eighteen different ways by now.
Nevertheless...
Being cautious was not a bad thing. In the chaotic environment of the Underworld, lack of vigilance could lead to significant consequences sooner or later.
Currently, the transition in the Upper Underworld is still underway.
Although the Wildfire organization agreed to allow the Silvermane Guards to defend this area,
...the longstanding chaos of the Underworld cannot be easily rectified by just the presence of the Silvermane Guards alone.
This turmoil will likely persist for some time before gradually subsiding.
Unfortunately, regardless of any improvements, as long as the conflict between the Overworld and Underworld continues,
true stability here remains unattainable.
The reason Seele ventured to Rivet Town seeking supplies was due to violent clashes over earth essence veins underground, resulting in numerous injuries. Dr. Natasha's medical resources were insufficient to handle the demand.
Thus, Seele had to intervene...
