As it approached quitting time,
the performance concluded.
Together, they dismantled the stage while the crowd gradually dispersed.
After moving everything back into the shop,
Serval said, "Bochang, your bass skills are impressive! Would you be interested in joining our band? We're actually in need of a bassist."
"Sure, I'd love to," Bochang readily agreed.
Clapping her hands excitedly, Serval asked, "Could you stay tonight for rehearsal? Don't worry, we only rehearse until 9 PM and not every day."
Although Bochang's technique was commendable, rehearsals were still necessary. Serval believed that with just a few practices, their performances could become even more flawless.
[Dating Options have been activated.]
[Option 1: Directly respond with, "Yes." - Completion Reward: Random item, ranging from a matchstick to a star destroyer. Note: These items will...]
[Option Two: Politely decline with "No, I need to go back and prepare dinner." — Completion Reward: A Salted Fish, exceptionally delicious whether cooked or eaten dried.]
[Option Three: Compromise by saying, "Boss, can you wait until after I finish making dinner?" — Completion Reward: One hundred percent increase in physique.]
Today...
the "Dating Options" prompt had already appeared numerous times.
Strangely, despite not seeing Big Booty for several options now, Bochang found himself somewhat nostalgic.
"Aiya... how could I think like that? It's just trying to manipulate me!" Bochang vigorously shook his head.
From the three options presented:
Agreeing to participate in the rehearsal seemed necessary for obtaining better rewards.
Bochang felt it was preferable to first return home and make dinner, so he chose Option Three.
Directly proceeding with rehearsals would mean leaving Stelle, March 7th, and others unattended at home, which wasn't ideal.
"Boss, could you wait for me to finish making dinner before I come back here?" asked Bochang.
Serval smiled. "Sure, we'll be at the shop waiting for your return."
[Reward distribution in progress - Congratulations! Your physique has been increased by 100%.]
The system had now boosted Bochang's physique three times:
First time by 50%. Second time by 100%. Third time by another 100%.
Assuming his initial physique was 1, increasing it by 50% results in 1.5, then doubling it again gives 3, and finally another doubling leads to 6.
This equates to six times the average human's physique, not to mention additional enhancements to his strength, agility, and mental energy as well.
It wouldn't be an exaggeration to call Bochang a mini-superhuman now.
A warm sensation surged through his body. Unlike strength increases, the physical changes from boosting his physique were subtle, hardly noticeable with the naked eye.
Stelle merely observed that Bochang's breathing seemed even more steady than before. Without giving it much thought, she said, "Well then, we're heading off now."
Serval watched as Bochang and Stelle departed.
Only after they had moved far away did Serval inquire, "Pela, where exactly did you find Bochang and Stelle? They seem... somewhat extraordinary."
"Indeed, it's hard to imagine such a skilled bass guitarist remaining unknown in Belobog unless they're self-taught? That would be truly frightening..." Lynx chimed in.
Pela pushed up her round-framed glasses and replied, "They are wanderers, and moreover, wanderers who have already awakened their fate paths... As for why they have no reputation in Belobog, I'm not entirely sure myself.
"You know, several years ago, one of the warehouses storing resident records was damaged by the rift and partially burned down. The situation with Belobog's residents has always been riddled with gaps; there's not much I can do about it." Pela spread her hands helplessly.
Lynx suggested, "Could they possibly be from the Underworld?"
With Belobog being the only remaining settlement on Jarilo VI...
It never occurred to Pela that Bochang and his companions could be extraterrestrial visitors.
"Impossible. The Underworld has been sealed off for years; no one can travel between the upper and lower layers," Serval immediately dismissed the idea.
Given the current circumstances, she firmly believed that no one could traverse between them.
"Forget it, let's not dwell on this. After all, their backgrounds have nothing to do with us." Serval turned away, unconcerned.
Although she sensed numerous mysteries surrounding Bochang and his group, she had no intention of pursuing answers relentlessly.
Pela pondered for a moment before saying, "I'll keep an eye on them."
Meanwhile...
Bochang and Stelle returned home after grocery shopping.
Today, Dan Heng arrived earlier than usual and was already seated on the couch, watching TV and sipping tea.
After Bochang and Stelle recounted the day's events...
"Serval was once a member of the Architects," Dan Heng said. "No wonder she knows about Stellaron. As for her brother, his status is also quite exceptional. Bochang, you must fully utilize your current role this time; perhaps Serval knows Stellaron's location."
"I'll do my best," Bochang nodded. "Dan Heng, did you make any discoveries today?"
"Today had too much work to handle; I couldn't spare time for gathering intelligence. Moreover, I need to observe further. My infiltration of Qlipoth Fort yesterday seems to have raised the Architects' vigilance."
Dan Heng lifted the teacup and took a sip.
After a moment, the stoic little azure dragon glanced sideways at Bochang and continued, "I didn't realize you could play the bass guitar?"
"You saw that..." Bochang scratched his head.
Hearing their conversation, March 7th descended from upstairs and asked loudly.
"Bass guitar? The one I'm thinking of? Bochang can play instruments?"
Stelle nodded and replied, "Yes, Bochang plays bass. Just now, he performed outdoors with the boss, Pela, and the boss's sister. Hmm... it was quite interesting."
"Isn't that your machine shop? How did you suddenly end up performing?" March 7th furrowed her delicate eyebrows, looking puzzled. "What do you mean by 'outdoor performance'..."
"That's just the boss's preference," Bochang explained.
March 7th stroked her chin with slender fingers.
"Oh, I see..." Suddenly changing the topic, she stamped her foot, "Seriously, next time if there's another outdoor performance, make sure to call me! I'd love to watch Bochang playing the bass too."
"If March wants to see it, I happen to have recorded a segment." Dan Heng took out his phone, gazing at Bochang with a composed expression. "Should be fine if I share it in the group chat, right?"
"Uh... it's fine, go ahead and share if you want," Bochang generously agreed.
March 7th took out her phone and found the video that Dan Heng had just posted in the Astral Express group chat.
After watching for about ten seconds...
March 7th chuckled, "Bochang, why did you start dancing while playing?"
"Oh, this is what Dan Heng captured..."
Bochang also pulled out his phone to take a look.
Memories from the stage flooded back into his mind.
During the performance's climax, Serval hit some high notes, while Pela and Lynx showcased their solos. On impulse, Bochang spontaneously broke into breakdancing.
It was entirely instinctual, likely due to his bass guitar skills taking over.
After all...
Bochang couldn't recall ever learning breakdance before.
