Chapter 28 - Clash of Bodyguards: A New Rivalry

It was clear that Wright Nosra understood exactly what "the dust settling" meant.

Most of Laxiangshan's assets would likely fall into the hands of the intervening Rizz family.

However, none of this concerned them anymore.

With Neon's fortune-telling ability in hand, Wright Nosra wasn't interested in risky deals that could easily draw unwanted attention and put them in danger.

"By the way, I heard you hired a new bodyguard at the Heaven's Arena."

Wright Nosra seemed to remember something. "A formidable martial artist who even reached the 200th floor."

"Reaching that level in Heaven's Arena speaks volumes about his skills."

Wright Nosra smiled and said, "And I trust your judgment; he'll get every bit of the treatment he deserves."

He clapped his hands. "Coincidentally, I also met a very formidable guy outside."

"This guy took ten bullets and came out unscathed. I think he might be someone on your level."

As the applause faded, a figure stepped out from behind Wright Nosra.

He was tall, wearing a black coat and a blue scarf. His eyes were fierce, and beneath them were several dark tattoos.

"His name is Dalzollene. He has accepted my offer and will be part of my bodyguard team."

Wright Nosra introduced, "Dalzollene will serve as my personal bodyguard to ensure my safety."

"But as for the entire family, especially the security work for Miss, you'll still be the primary guardian."

"In critical moments, all bodyguards will defer to your judgment."

This was something Wright Nosra had promised Moarik, and he was merely reiterating it now.

And he did so in front of both Dalzollene and Moarik, making his intentions clear.

However, after he finished speaking, Dalzollene, standing behind him, raised an eyebrow.

"Is it him?!"

Dalzollene scrutinized the young, sharp-looking man in a black suit, Moarik, who appeared much younger and more refined compared to himself.

Before accepting the job, Dalzollene had heard Wright Nosra outline these conditions.

And Wright Nosra had also stated in advance that if Dalzollene couldn't accept these terms, their cooperation would have to end.

Despite this, Dalzollene still agreed.

It wasn't because he liked being subordinate or didn't want to be the boss.

It was because he believed in his own strength.

As long as he stayed with Wright Nosra and found this chief bodyguard his boss spoke of, all he had to do was defeat him.

Once he showed Wright Nosra who was truly the strongest, he would naturally replace the current head as the new leader of the bodyguard team.

Now, he finally met the man Wright Nosra had praised so highly.

However, he was somewhat different from what Dalzollene had imagined.

"I see."

Moarik simply nodded, glancing briefly at Dalzollene, without offering further comments.

If it were before he went to Heaven's Arena, this original head bodyguard of the Nosra family might have given him more attention.

But now...

There was no need.

Is physically taking ten bullets impressive?

Now, he could easily block those ten bullets barehanded.

However, the white blindfold box beside him was rather intriguing.

"Then you two can get to know each other. I have some matters to attend to."

After saying this, Wright Nosra went upstairs to comfort his daughter, Neon, leaving Moarik and Dalzollene alone.

"So, you're Moarik, right?"

After the boss left, Dalzollene was the first to speak.

"I've heard the boss mention you quite a few times."

"Yes, and your name is Dalzollene. The boss just mentioned it."

Moarik nodded. "That means we've met."

With that, he decided not to waste any more time and turned to leave.

"Wait!"

Dalzollene suddenly raised his voice and, looking at Moarik, said in a deep tone:

"Is that it?"

"Hmm? What else do you want to say?"

Moarik only turned his head slightly and gave him a glance. "The boss has already explained everything. If you don't understand something, you should ask the boss."

"Before I go to the boss, I think there's one more thing to settle."

He raised his head and stepped forward, his gaze fixed intently on Moarik as if he were about to approach him. "I think..."

Screech~!

Before he could finish his sentence, everything came to an abrupt halt.

Dalzollene's pupils suddenly contracted. He saw a pair of extremely indifferent eyes and...

An aura of a terrifying beast, as if from the depths of hell, that seemed to devour his very soul!

"I'm not interested in playing any little games with you."

Moarik's voice was very calm. "My time is valuable, and I won't waste it here with you."

"If you truly have any other thoughts, either go to the boss now, or I can send you to him myself~"

With that, he no longer paid any attention to Dalzollene and turned to leave.

Thud.

After Moarik left, Dalzollene collapsed onto the ground, gasping for air as if he had just escaped suffocation.

"Devil..."
