Seeing her, Li ZiChen immediately walked off from the wall, pushing himself by his elbow as he reached beside her, reaching out his hand just enough to hover behind her waist. He then looked at Mrs Hua's face, the two exchanging a secret glance to each other before Mrs Hua shifted her gaze back at AiLin, "Let's meet again soon."
AiLin smiled back at the woman, her birth mother, a different woman who gave her a different kind of warmth in her heart, "I'll be in contact."
As they walked out of the house, AiLin could feel the pleading look in her family. Somewhere they were expecting that she would stay with them but it was progressing far too quickly. After all old wounds don't heal so fast and her trust was already broken by so many people so many times that she needed to be sure that she wouldn't mind being lied by them again.
