Me: (desperate) So, is this the end of our lives?

I look at the map and see the path we need to take. I take a deep breath, grasp Eshu's hand tighter, and we set off into the unknown.

I forced myself to run towards the portal, the sound of explosions echoing behind me. I successfully escaped, but my relief was short-lived as I burst into tears.
