Chapter 7 - Survival Plan part. 4

[Trait: Calculating]

[Effect: You are able to compute and analyze any information as if it were stored in a vast mental archive. This grants you an almost limitless memory, allowing you to create countless scenarios of the future, present, or past based on the data collected. Your mind can simulate and evaluate various possibilities and consequences, aiding you in making informed and strategic decisions.]

[Commentary: Those who rely on brute force are feared, but those who maneuver the game like a chess master embody an invisible terror. True power lies in the ability to foresee and orchestrate events, rather than in mere physical strength.]

"Not bad," I thought, satisfied with the result. It was more or less what I had hoped for, and the effects seemed decidedly more manageable compared to the Blessed by Fortune trait.

The latter, although potentially powerful, was too abstract and unpredictable.

If I had to compare the Calculating trait to an ability in a game, I would say it could be considered both passive, as it constantly enhances my analytical abilities, and active, as it allows me to intervene directly in the world around me with precise calculations and well-thought-out strategies.

Orion had changed without realizing it. His old self, naïve and full of hope, was gone. In that very moment, a heartless and inhuman monster had been born, ready to do anything to achieve his goals.

There was no longer room for morality or compassion; only cold logic and relentless ambition remained.

"Done," I said to myself, with a sense of pride as I observed the result of my mental efforts. In just a few minutes, precisely 00:02:02, I had managed to reorganize all my memories, dividing them into various mental compartments, each with a specific function:

- Information Compartment: Here, I stored all the crucial data for the development of my plans. Every significant detail, every relevant piece of information that could influence my future decisions was ordered and cataloged. This compartment would become my main resource, a library of knowledge to draw from at any time to plan my moves.

- Memory Compartment: In this section, I gathered less relevant, but still useful, data. I stored information such as the streets I usually travel, the names and faces of people I meet, the places I visit. These details might seem insignificant, but they could prove valuable in the future. You never know when an old acquaintance or a familiar path might come in handy.

- Waste Compartment: Here, I deposited all the useless data—everything that had no immediate or future impact on my plans. The feeling of the wind, the license plate numbers of the cars I saw, a dog walking by, occasional birds—these were all details that didn't deserve to take up space in my mind, yet were still registered briefly, just in case.

"Add 1 stat point to Vitality," I commanded.

[Vitality has increased to 10]

Immediately, the terrible stomachache that had been plaguing me disappeared. It was as if a huge weight had been lifted from my body.

The experiment had worked. With the increase in my vitality, all my physical conditions had regenerated, just like when you level up in a video game and your HP is fully restored.

However, I was unsure of the exact extent of the healing: I wondered if it was even possible to regenerate a lost limb or heal severe injuries.

Now, it was time to focus on more serious matters. With the information currently at my disposal, I had developed four strategies to escape my dire and depressing situation of impending death.

The Great Heist, the first idea. This strategy involved stealing money from a vault—or rather, from a bank's virtual vault.

The plan was to use an advanced technological tool to penetrate the bank's security systems and launch a hacking attack on their central system.

Once inside, I would loot the treasure without leaving any trace. Although I currently did not possess the device necessary to execute the plan, the possibility existed, and the chances of success were not negligible.
