Chereads / Supreme Sun / Chapter 2 - Academy

Chapter 2 - Academy

He looked at his familiar surroundings. This forest was the only place that he was safe from his bullies, despite the countless dangerous monsters lurking in it. The irony amused him.

What was even more ironic was the fact that this was the place that he was almost beaten to death by those bullies. But why had they suddenly entered the forest when they always avoided it?

He sighed as he shook the leaves of his head and stepped forward, only to realise something.

"Have I...gotten taller?"

Indeed he had. His previous height of 5'9 was now replaced with a much larger 5'11. His shimmering golden hair had grown bigger, reaching his shoulders. His previously muscled physique had become even more defined, though slightly on the leaner side. All the scars on his body that he had gotten because of training and being beaten up had disappeared. He looked at a puddle of water nearby and was astonished!

' Though I was pretty handsome when I was young, the constant beating had disfigured my face. But now...'

He had striking golden eyes the same colour as his hair along with sharp eye brows, a straight nose and a chiseled face. It was a face any woman could fall for. His slightly tanned skin made him look even better under the gentle sunshine.

He had noticed a slightly crimson aura radiating around his body. That must be his mana.

He inhaled sharply

'Will I finnaly get a girlfriend now?'

...He sure had his priorities straight.

Just then he heard a strange sound...

Kiek

Clack ok

Kuu

He recognised that sound. He had heard it countless times

'That sound, it was definitely goblins.'

He knew they were far, and yet he could hear their voices so clearly. He could even feel their energies, though not that clearly. He smiled widely.

'I really have awakened'

He clenched his fists before flexing his impressive leg muscles and dashing forward. He blasted threw the forest with astonishing speeds. Within a few 10 of running, he reached their location.

As soon as he got within a slightly close to the, he halted and listened.

He thought of everything he knew about goblins. Weak F rank creatures that travel in packs of three to four. They had frail bodies and a bad sense of smell and hearing but were really good team players. The only reason they aren't extinct yet is because of their high reproduction rate.

'I can take them...I think.'

He took a deep breath and crouched down, shifting through the bushes.

As he looked through an opening in the leaves he saw the group.

There four of them. They were all at least two heads shorter then him welding short stuby clubs and rusted swords. They had green wrinkled skin and hideous faces, laughing for no apparent reason as they survey their surroundings.

He slowly got out of the foliage and followed behind the last goblin, his hand slowly creeping towards it's neck.

He remembered everything he had practiced during his training and steeled his resolve.

'come on Aaron, you've done this on straw dummies before. Just imagine straw dummies in their place.'

He shakily walked up to the goblin and, quickly and silently crack it's neck. It's eyes widened for a second before it's body went limp. His hands trembled as he layed down the body. He took another short breath to calm himself and moved forward.

As he silently crept behind the second goblin, it suddenly turned around. It took a look at the body of it's comrade and his hand outstretched towards its neck

Kie-!

Before it could finish it's scream, he swiftly caught hold of it's neck and snapped it.

But it didn't matter. The other two goblins had been alerted and swiftly turned their heads.

The first one wasted no time in swinging his club at him. But it didn't do much damage as the club broke after hitting his shoulder.

The stunned goblin gaped at the wooden stump in its hands.

Using that time, he punched down with all his force, driving the goblin's head into the ground. It's head cracked open, spraying blue blood over then grass and on his hand.

The other goblin, looking at it's dead friend, hesitated before running at him with its rusted swords.

Kuack!!

It swung it's sword down. Aaron easily dodged before grabbing it's collarbone. Cracking sounds met his ear as he turned around and swung the goblin through the air and slammed it onto the floor with all his might.

Splat!

Blood and bones flew through the air as the goblins body went limp. He took his hand back and dropped the cracked collarbone on his hand onto the ground.

He was about to turn around and walk away but stopped.

"Oh right. Umm, how do I do this?"

He thought hard on the activation of his skill and

°Deaths cruel embrace°

The mana from the goblins body surged out of them and melded into the crimson aura that formed around him.

[One months later]

A solitary male figure walked out of the dense woods, covered in bruises, dirt and grime. The man was huge, around 6 feet, with tonned muscles and shiny golden hair reaching until his bach,Wearing only a worn out pant, he took long strides ass he walked towards his destination.

He walked to the gate of the town were he was stopped by the guard. He blocked the entrance with a spear and seized him up. Which was hard to do so, considering that he was a head shorter than the figure.

"Halt! State your name and business here."

He looked at them with a calm face, although there was a maddening look in his glowing golden eyes.

"Just visiting my hometown for a shortwhile"

The voice had a smooth but slightly vicious tone to it.The guard flinched when he looked at his eyes and quickly moved his spear away.

"A-alright, move along!"

He made way for the figure who entered briskly into the town.

As Aaron strode through the roads, he took a huge sigh.

"I finnaly made it out of that damn forest! I thought I was going to die there."

He grinned widely, as he looked through the roads.

'Today will be the start of a new legend. The greatest one of all'

As he stood there in the middle of the road, his eyes sharpened. He continued on his walk, with an air of confidence.

'Academy, here I come!'
