December 25th, Christmas Day.
After washing up, Ethan was shocked by the scene in front of him when he came to the living room.
In the middle of the living room, there were gift boxes piled up like a mountain, leaving no place to step.
It was completely beyond Ethan's expectations. Of course, Ethan had also given away a lot of Christmas gifts.
In the days leading up to Christmas, Ethan had spent a lot of time on this. He had his own alchemy props, Muggle products, books and items purchased from Flourish and Blotts, wizard candy, prank gadgets, and things he knew people would like, such as wizard chess and a golden snitch.
But the amount Ethan gave away was only about half of what he received.
"Ethan, you are very popular at the magic school!"
On the other side of the gifts, Noele covered her mouth and chuckled. As expected, he was her son. No matter where he was, he was outstanding.
Almost early that morning, she and Philemon had heard knocking sounds. After checking, they found it was an owl with a gift in its claws. They immediately understood and asked Philemon to open the window.
Unexpectedly, there were so many gifts when he woke up—more than Ethan had received while studying at a Muggle school.
"That's right, I'm the topper of my year, and the professors also like me very much."
It was true that he only reported good news to his family, and all the professors, except Snape, had a good impression of him.
When his mother had just come home yesterday, she had hugged him and kept saying "You've worked hard" and "You've lost weight," and she would touch his hair and kiss his forehead from time to time.
Ethan had grown nearly five centimeters taller and his body had become stronger over the past few months. He really didn't know where she got this conclusion.
"I believe my son is the best. You open the gifts first, and I'll prepare a big meal for you."
Originally, they were a little worried about Ethan's situation yesterday, because they had experience. How could they not know that as long as there is a society, there will be classes?
The wizarding world is an independent society. Even if they didn't know the details, they knew that the highest status in it was the so-called wizard aristocracy.
Just like in the Muggle world, Muggle wizards who have just entered the wizarding world are the lowest class, akin to poor boys from the countryside struggling in the big city.
So they were very worried about Ethan's campus life, wondering if he would be bullied or something.
After seeing the gifts today, they believed that what Ethan had said was true. If Ethan were not popular enough, he would never have received such a large number of Christmas gifts.
"By the way, we liked the Christmas gifts you gave us very much!"
Noele then turned and went into the kitchen.
How could she not like them? The things Ethan gave were things that both men and women would never refuse.
The gift for her was a beauty potion, used to improve skin and resist aging. It was bought in Diagon Alley. No woman would say no to such a thing.
The gift for his dad was a box of dragon blood wine.
Dennis had gone to the tavern to get it for Ethan.
Ethan was too embarrassed to go there himself.
Those who knew the specific effects understood it.
Anyway, Dennis said that after drinking a small cup, you could play for two hours without stopping.
The next day, both your physical and mental states would be quite full, without any discomfort.
Next was Ethan's blind box opening time.
He opened five or six in a row. They were mostly various chocolates, all signed by seniors. Not only Ravenclaw, but even Slytherin had seniors sending chocolates. It was unimaginable.
But Ethan didn't dare to eat the chocolates; it seemed a bit wasteful, as he didn't know if there were any drugs in them.
Especially the love potion—can you believe that it is not prohibited at Hogwarts?
God knows how many people will fall for it. This potion is too secretive.
As soon as you eat the food containing the love potion, you will fall in love with the person who gave it to you wholeheartedly for a certain period of time. It is really a sure thing.
In the original book, Ronald fell for it and ate the chocolate containing the love potion, which was originally intended for Harry.
Then Ethan found a relatively large box and opened it, discovering it was from George and Fred.
Inside was a telescope, with a card next to it saying that it looked like a regular telescope but was also a functional one. When twisted, a fist would spray out, leaving a bruise that wouldn't go away without medicine. The test subject was Lee Jordan.
The remaining package contained candy, which George and Fred had named the Quick-Effect Skipping Series.
There were two types: blood-breaking beans and nosebleed nougat.
The experimental effect was very good.
As long as you ate them, you would be able to skip classes 100% successfully.
The test subject was Ronald Weasley.
One was for pranking others, and the other was for skipping classes. Ethan didn't seem to need either.
Of course, the Christmas gifts Ethan gave to George and Fred were not much better, but they suited their tastes. They were popular gadgets from the Gambol and Japes Wizarding Joke Shop.
He hoped they would find some inspiration from them.
Next, Ethan took out a very small package, which felt like it contained a book.
After tearing it open, Ethan found a well-preserved but slightly old notebook with Minerva McGonagall's name on it.
Opening it, he discovered it was the note Professor McGonagall made when she first became the professor of Transfiguration and encountered various problems. This surprised Ethan.
As one of the most famous masters of Transfiguration in contemporary times, this notebook was definitely a treasure for those wanting to master Transfiguration.
And what Ethan had given to Professor McGonagall was a product from Ella Owl Shop—a cat album. Since it was an alchemical product, the cats in it could move.
The next item was also a notebook, but different from Professor McGonagall's; this was a new one.
Ethan flipped it open and saw that it was sent by Professor Flitwick. It contained his understanding of compound magic, as well as some of his combat and spellcasting experience.
More than a month ago, Ethan had asked Professor Flitwick about compound magic—the combination of magic skills. At that time, Professor Flitwick had recommended several books to Ethan. He hadn't expected to be so fortunate now.
Those books had some benefits, but the subsequent content did not seem to be included, either due to the publisher's error or lack of circulation.
Now Professor Flitwick's notebook would definitely provide Ethan with a considerable improvement in skills and inspiration about compound magic.
Ethan had given Professor Flitwick a dress made of acromantula spider silk. The shop he chose was Tufan Clothing Store. Clothes made of acromantula spider silk are quite comfortable. Unfortunately, Ethan could only use magic to make a wizard robe and didn't have the skills to make a complicated dress.
The next item was a box of bookmarks, beautifully made and with a special fragrance. This was from Professor Sprout.
For Ravenclaw students, this gift was quite useful.
Ethan had given Professor Sprout a set of Muggle plant encyclopedias.
In the next gift box, Ethan saw a lot of silver-white long hair, which truly stunned him.
There were at least one or two hundred unicorn tail hairs. Hagrid was really generous; these were sold for ten Galleons each. Hagrid deserved to be called the hidden rich man of Hogwarts. The Weasley family couldn't make that much in a year.
It was probably because he had seen Ethan collecting materials from various magical animals that Hagrid gave this.
What Ethan had given was not worth mentioning, except that it was really useful to Hagrid—a vixen killer.
Some time ago, Hagrid had complained about a vixen in the vegetable garden again. Although Hogwarts had a potion master, Hagrid wouldn't go to Snape.
Then Ethan unpacked it and found a fiery red feather given by Dumbledore. It felt warm to the touch and must be from Fawkes.
What Ethan had given was a pair of woolen socks. No one knew what Dumbledore wanted except for the woolen socks, which seemed to be a joke (woolen socks represent familial affection).
So, these were gifts from the professors of Hogwarts piled together.
As for Professor Snape, Ethan hadn't considered giving him a gift. He guessed not many in Slytherin College would receive one!
Soon, Ethan also unpacked Hermione's gift box, which contained a stack of photos and a box of chocolates. The chocolates were a bit ugly, as if she had made them herself.
Cassandra gave a ring that could release the Armor Charm, which was pretty good alchemical equipment.
Cho Chang gave a bottle of Sichuan and Chongqing chili sauce from China, maybe because she saw Ethan go to Hufflepuff for hot pot many times!
Penelope gave a scarf, which she knitted herself and looked very nice.
Ethan had also given them things they liked: Hermione received a full set of Hogwarts textbooks.
Cho Chang got a Golden Snitch, which was not cheap—two hundred gold Galleons.
Cassandra was given a black Lolita princess dress, which seemed to match her temperament.
Penelope was given a sapphire necklace. If she didn't wear a wizard robe but a dress instead, it would definitely attract attention if tucked into a neckline, but only she could see it.
The rest, like his roommates, Neville, and some young wizards of the same level, all were sent books and candies, as well as quills and other things.
Ethan also sent them these things: Ravenclaw's young wizards were given books, Hufflepuff's were given candies, and Muggle snacks.
Only Harry was given a special gift.
Two Beretta 92F pistols and two boxes of bullets.
Made of aluminum alloy, the wand core uses 9mm pistol bullets, 8 and a half inches long, with a double-row magazine capacity of 15 rounds. It has small recoil, strong power, and can be used even with low strength.
Ethan found it very interesting when he saw the picture of Harry with two guns. "This is much more useful than a magic wand," he thought, and now he wanted to copy it.
For students, this was indeed much more useful than a magic wand. Even adult wizards could be killed if they were not careful.
After opening the gifts, Ethan found that he had completed another achievement.
[Popular New Star]
A smile is like sunshine, warming the heart, while sincerity is like a spring breeze, gently touching the soul. Popular people shine brightly, like reflections in the sky.
Achievement goal: receive more than 100 gifts in one day (1/1)
Achievement reward: Warm and Sunny Temperament
What the hell, I, Ethan, am a warm and sunny boy. Isn't this reward literally useless.
