Chapter 1 - The awaking

April 15,year 2050

New Eden City, Earth

The sun rises over the towering skyscrapers of New Eden City, casting a warm glow over the bustling metropolis. Flying cars zipped through the air, their soft hum filling the atmosphere as they transported citizens to their destinations. Pedestrian walkways were filled with people of all ages, their advanced reality contact lenses and implants seamlessly integrating technology into their daily lives.

In the heart of the city, the iconic Tree of Life stands tall, its massive trunk and branches supporting a lush canopy of greenery. This marvel of bioengineering has become a symbol of humanity's harmony with nature.

Nearby, the AI-powered robots tend to the urban farm, ensuring a constant supply of fresh produce to the city's inhabitants. The air is crisp and clean, thanks to the atmospheric nanotech that scrubs away pollutants.

Theo stepped off the sleek, silver bus and onto the bustling streets of New Eden City, his eyes gazed down at the pavement. Life had been tough since his mom passed away a few months ago. He never knew his father, and the government's support was his only lifeline. But he was grateful for the small bedroom apartment they provided, a place to call his own until he turned 18.

As he walked towards New Eden High School, his friends Zack and Alex caught up with him. "Hey, man, how's it going?" Zack asked, clapping him on the back.

Theo shrugged, trying to hide his struggles. "It's going great I guess" Theo replied with a fake smile still being hit by the reality of his mom's death.

The three friends walked together, their augmented reality contact lenses and implants flashing with virtual notifications and messages. Theo's friends were a welcome distraction from his troubles.

At school, Theo headed to his locker, swapping his backpack for a tablet loaded with virtual textbooks and assignments. He was grateful for the government's support, which included a free tablet and access to quality education. After class was over for the day, they were left with soccer training.

After grabbing his gear, Theo met up with Zack and Alex at the soccer field. Coach Thompson nodded in approval as Theo joined the team, his height and athletic build made him a natural player.

As they practiced, Theo felt a sense of freedom and joy he hadn't experienced in months. Soccer was his escape, a place where he could forget his worries and just be himself.

After practice, Zack and Alex walked with him to the school entrance as school had finished for today. "Hey, we're heading to my dad's dojo, would you like to join us? He's looking for students ," Zack said.

Theo hesitated, unsure if he could afford the lesson fees . But his friends noticed his reluctance and exchanged a knowing glance. "Don't worry about the fee, first 5 student's are free," Zack said with a smile.

Theo nodded, grateful for their support. Together, they headed to the dojo while enjoying each other's company and the vibrant atmosphere of their futuristic environment, unknowing to Theo that his day will become a dramatic one.

As Theo, Zack, and Alex walked down the street, laughing and joking as they made their way to Zack's dad's dojo. The sun was setting, casting a warm orange glow over the city.

As they turned a corner, they noticed a group of older kids lingering by the alleyway. Theo's instincts kicked in, sensing trouble.

"Hey, look what we got here," one of the bullies sneered, eyeing the trio. "The soccer star and his friends think they're tough."

Zack stood tall, but the bullies quickly overpowered them. Theo, however, refused to back down. Despite being outnumbered, he fought back with surprising strength, sending one of the bullies flying across the alley with a quick one-two jab.

The bullies were taken aback by Theo's abnormal strength, but they quickly regained their composure and pinned him to the ground. Zack and Alex tried to intervene, but they were no match for the bullies.

Just as it seemed like the situation was getting out of hand, the bullies' leader called off the attack, eyeing Theo's strength with a mix of fear and respect. "You're lucky we don't want trouble with the authorities," he sneered, before fleeing with his gang.

Theo struggled to his feet, his eyes blazing with anger and his body bruised. Zack and Alex helped him up, concern etched on their faces. "Dude, what happened?" Zack asked. "You took down that guy like he was nothing!"

Theo shook his head, still trying to process his own strength. "I don't know... I just got angry, I guess."

As they continued to Zack's dad's dojo, they couldn't stop talking about Theo's unexpected display of strength. Little did they know, this was only the beginning of Theo's adventure.

As Theo continued to push himself, he noticed remarkable improvements in his physical abilities. His strength, agility, and stamina had increased exponentially, allowing him to perform feats he never thought possible.

Unbeknownst to Theo, a mysterious being from another realm had been observing his progress with great interest. This being, known only as "The Watcher," had been monitoring Theo's development, waiting for the perfect moment to reveal himself.

With a warm smile, The Watcher nodded in approval. "He has discovered his powers," he said to himself, his voice echoing through the realms. "The time of awakening is upon us."

As Theo finished his exercises, he felt a strange sensation, like a surge of energy coursing through his veins. He looked around, wondering if anyone had noticed, but he was alone.

The Watcher vanished as suddenly as he appeared, leaving behind only a whisper in the wind. "The journey begins, Theo. Embrace your true potential."

Theo, unaware of the mysterious encounter, walked away from the dojo, feeling empowered and ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead. Little did he know, his life was about to take a dramatic turn, one that would reveal the true extent of his abilities and his destiny.
