Candace Cane walked down Watson boulevard to the most popular bar in town 'flexxies', they served the best drinks and all the finance guys from the main street were known to frequent that spot so it became popular among the ladies. She had planned to meet up with a date right there, her friend Cindy had practically forced her to go on this blind date, she had not been out on a date in a year since her last break up, she had been so occupied with work and growing her company but now they were about to be acquired by a major firm.
Candace Cane is the daughter of the popular business mogul Rowland Cane, he became very popular in the nineties as one of the major distributors of steel in the country, through her father's company and influence she was able to start up her own tech firm 'Cane', for the past few years her father's company have been struggling financially, they got into a huge debt, none of her family members were aware until his company had an hostile take over by another company, Her tech company was Incorporated under her father's company, 'Cane' got affected and has to be acquired by a tech company that wanted to expand into other industries. She is pissed of course about this development, but that is the only way forward if she doesn't want to sell her brand. The meeting is scheduled to take place tomorrow, one of the reasons she agreed to this blind date is so she can get her mind off the deal before tomorrow.
She entered into the bar, it was loud and dimly lit as usual, She picked a seat close to the door and ordered a drink, her date was about 30 minutes late, She usually arrives to the date location 30 minutes after the agreed time to keep the guy waiting, but this time her date had not even arrived. She decided to spend 30 more minutes, if the guy is not here by then she is going to leave, she thought to herself and ordered another drink.
4 drinks and an hour later, it dawned on her that she had been stood up, how embarrassing she thought. Candace Cane, the daughter of a business mogul stood up at a bar, the thought of it infuriated her, she had never been stood up before.
She was a little bit intoxicated, she knew she had to go home, she didn't drive here so she ordered a ride, she stood and started walking outside to wait for her ride, as she was about stepping out the door, she bumped into a guy walking into the bar. She didn't need to look at him twice to know that he was freakishly hot, his chiseled features and strong jawline were accentuated by piercing blue eyes that seemed to stare into her soul, blonde hair, perfectly messy and a subtle scruff added a hint of ruggedness to his polished appearance, her bag fell to the ground as she bumped into him. The guy picked up the bag and handed it back to her and started to leave, there's no way she was going to let this hot dude get away from her, she should at least get a one night stand since her date stood her up.
"Ouch!", She shouted holding her head, half of the occupants of the bar turned towards her direction, so did the guy she bumped into.
"Are you okay", the guy walked back to her.
"Oh God, I feel really woozy", She said dramatically holding her head, looking at him slightly to see his reaction.
"Are you drunk?", he asked, looking at her.
"No, I'm not....well maybe a little ", she answered, giggling, alcohol was definitely liquid courage, there was no way she would have done this sober.
"Did you come with anyone", he asked obviously concerned.
"No",she answered giggling, "you are very handsome ", she continued, reaching out to touch his shoulders "so broad...damn" she said, "Did I say that out loud?", she asked still giggling.
"Okay, we need to get you home, is there anybody you call call?", he asked, grabbing her hands and pulling her out of the bar, she was causing a scene at the bar.
"Oops, I think I left my phone at home", she answered smiling sheepishly.
"Let me get you a cab".
"I have something better in mind, why don't you take me to mine, I can give you my address, my place is just close by... Then we can have a real good time", she said fiddling with his his, he looked like the usual finance guys that frequent the bar.
"Are you sure?", he asked with a devilish smile.
"Of course ", she answered biting her lip in a very exaggerated way.
He laughed and answered " sure, why not?, my car is just over there he pointed to a sleek, midnight blue Aston Martin parked opposite the bar.
This guy is definitely not a regular finance guy,
"Woah, you must be rich", she said, this time touching his chest, his lean , athletic build filled out his fitted shirt which clung to his torso in all the right places.
He opened the car door for her like a proper gentleman and drove off to her place, the car ride to her penthouse was just five minutes. They got out of the car into the hotel where her penthouse was, they got into the elevator, they were alone, she could not resist any longer, she launched herself at him, her arms wrapped tightly around his neck, pulling him into a fierce kiss. He stumbled backward, caught off guard by the sudden attack, but he quickly regained his footing and pulled her off him.
"Hey!, why don't we wait till we get inside", he said using his hands to cover her mouth as she tried to attack him again.
"Ughh, you are no fun..." ,she pulled back.
He laughed and asked," what is your name ".
"I'm Candy", she answered.
