Having left the back hill, Wang Xiaolong did not return to the village. After tucking the necessary herbs into a small bag, he carried the snakeskin bag and headed toward the town.

In fact, Xiao Xi Village was not far from the town; it was only because of the rough terrain that vehicles found it hard to pass through, which led to increasing backwardness.

Walking along the narrow path by the edge of the rice paddies, it took him about forty minutes to reach the town.

The town had a thoroughfare that was commonly lined with small vendors setting up stalls to sell goods. After arriving, Wang Xiaolong decided to try his luck there as well.
