Li Dazhuang and Tao Wen, both clad in comical poker uniforms, patrolled through Fairy Tale Town.
Previously, they had merely been attendants at an amusement facility, but now they served as bona fide guards of the town.
They couldn't remember what had happened before, only that they were Poker Guards, just like the dozens of other young men in the town.
"Please, let me go, I don't want to play house in this damned town anymore," a man at the town entrance pleaded with the guard clad in iron armor.
He and his wife had dropped their child off at tutoring before coming here for a visit, planning to return in the afternoon to pick up their child, but they had ended up trapped here for several days.
"You are a resident of Fairy Tale Town. Without the mayor's orders, you are not allowed to leave," the iron-clad guard stated rigidly.
