Europe, the Danube valley, the Bohemian Forest.
Desolate, wild, and some architectural styles with rounded spires made the nearby small villages spontaneously form one tourist area after another.
But because it's really remote, and the geographical distribution is very scattered, this place only attracts some backpackers who have never been here... and besides trees, there really isn't anything else here.
Many trees, few mountains, no minerals, no oil, it seems that apart from the rivers there are no other resources, which has led to no one willing to venture too deeply into this region, where mosquitoes are bigger than thumbs. Over hundreds of years of neglect, the depths of the forest have become a vast uninhabited area. At the same time, legends like human sacrifices, aliens, supernatural phenomena and the like are mostly thrown into this area, anyway, no one goes to verify them.
