Indeed, just as Joyce mentioned earlier, the defense measures of the Floating City are nearly perfect. If it were really possible to so easily contest the control of the Floating City, then considering the many people who once lived there, guarding against such invasions would be quite difficult.
From what we can see, aside from breaking through with sufficient force from the front, there seems to be no other way to breach the protections of the Floating City.
It appears that acquiring a still-functioning Floating City is not such an easy task after all.
Otherwise, even Joyce, a Legendary Mage, wouldn't be persistently blocked from the outside.
