"Well, at least it's almost over!"
Lis's expression didn't change much, but when he stepped into Warehouse No. 8, a smile crept onto his face.
He had finally found it!
The magic fluctuations returning from underfoot informed Lis that beneath the floor was a huge space, approximately the size of the warehouse above.
He glanced at the warehouse manager, Talib, out of the corner of his eye; the man's expression hadn't changed.
Was the hidden Space below the work of Duke Ward, and this warehouse manager was not one of Duke Ward's insiders?
But it didn't matter now!
Pretending to have noticed nothing, Lis inspected the warehouse as he had done before, praised Talib's work, and then left Galsa Warehouse with Hans.
What a joke, Lis certainly wouldn't expose the arrangements in the warehouse himself; doing so would just draw Duke Ward's hatred directly onto him, wouldn't it?
