"Enough." A voice rose, tinged with a thread of anger, making Meng Chentian's entire body tremble.
Meng Chentian turned abruptly, looking at the woman approaching from not far away, his eyes reddening.
This was his mother, but she felt so unfamiliar at that moment.
"Why?" Meng Chentian almost roared as he asked.
"What do you mean, 'why?'" Tang Xin approached, her brows furrowed in a somewhat stern manner.
This made Meng Chentian feel somewhat guilty. He had always been more afraid of Tang Xin since his childhood, so even though his heart was filled with anger, seeing Tang Xin frowning and looking stern, he still felt some fear.
"Why did you leave Father? To find a man even younger than your own son, Mom, what happened to you?" Tears started to form in Meng Chentians eyes, his voice growing increasingly agitated as he spoke.
"Who told you that?" Instead of answering his question, Tang Xin asked one of her own.
Meng Chentian hesitated for a moment, then didn't speak.
