An old man lay on the hospital bed, his face ashen. It was clear that he was well on in years, at least in his seventies, and his age meant that his death would be considered a natural end.
"He has been poisoned," Xiao Han furrowed his brows.
"What?" Wang Jun and the others were startled. Wasn't this an illness?
Xiao Han walked over, intending to diagnose further; after all, even a minor oversight with poison could be fatal. He needed to determine exactly which toxin was involved.
Just then, a group of bodyguards rushed in, heading straight for Xiao Han.
"Stop!" Wang Jun shouted in alarm, quickly intervening.
"Second Young Master, he is a thug. He just attacked our brothers and barged in," one of the bodyguards stated, his face cold as he stared at Xiao Han.
"Nonsense, this is the Divine Doctor treating the Family Head. Don't cause trouble, get out now," Wang Jun snapped authoritatively, not daring to delay.
